Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 1930

Faced with Benjamin's silence, Adam secretly scoffed.

Shannon was only 19 this year and had barely graduated from mystic school. What was he thinking?

If anything, Benjamin would have to wait until after her graduation. Before then, any thoughts of a wedding would be strictly prohibited!

Benjamin stayed silent. He had no other choice, then.

After finally getting through the "three-part interrogation", Shannon led him back to her room. She had a gift for him.

It was something she had prepared earlier but had never given to him. The reason was simple—she only wanted to give it to the man who had become so familiar and reassuring to her now.

Opening the mystic chest she always carried with her, Shannon began to search through it.

If Benjamin asked Albany about it, he would know that this box had always been kept in her suitcase.

Even though the box had been taking up space and crowding Albany's sleeping area, Shannon had never considered taking it out. She had kept it there with the sole intention of giving it to him the moment he returned.

When Benjamin took the box, he had already faintly guessed what was inside. It was the gift she had promised him before the golden light around him had dissipated.

Opening the box, he saw the Slumberstone bracelet lying quietly inside.

The Slumberstone was a rare type of emerald. Though it resembled the emerald bead bracelet he had purchased at the auction, this one was different because it was clearly handmade by her.

Even the runes etched onto the beads radiated a unique energy, one that could only belong to her.

When he bought the emerald bead bracelet she had wanted at the auction, she had given him one of the bracelets, telling him that she would later make one for him with her own hands.

Time had passed, and now, at long last, her gift had finally reached him.

"Now that you've gifted me something, I'd also like to return this old gift to you." Benjamin continued, "I understand your disappointment toward me previously and why you refused to have it.

"Now, as its rightful owner, will you promise to take it back?" His voice was hoarse, tinged with a slow, questioning tone.

It made Shannon's heart ache unexpectedly, yet at the same time, she couldn't help but feel a bit amused.

She didn't understand why he was so insistent on giving her half of the Core Vein Stone. If it was a matter of returning it to its rightful owner, he was, after all, the original owner. But…

She didn't want to argue with him about the ownership of the Core Vein Stone today. Instead, she simply gazed at the object in his hand for a long while. Finally, her voice broke the silence softly.

"I've never been disappointed in you."

Even if she had made up her mind to give up on him back then, it was only temporary. With Benjamin, she would never be disappointed.
