Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 1863

Bianca had always thought her novels were melodramatic, but who knew there was something more ridiculous! She was witnessing the scene of a man breaking up with the Stone Turtle!

She clearly needed to read more books.

As Biance reflected, she continued staring wide-eyed and enjoying the scene. She peeked in quietly without making any sound for fear of interrupting the dramatic air in the courtyard, but her fluffy tails, visible beyond several courtyard walls, were eye-catching.

The dramatic air Hank had built up instantly shattered as he stared blankly at the door.

Bianca saw him looking in her direction and waved. "Don't mind me. Keep going."

Hank was utterly speechless. How was he supposed to keep going?

He tried to rebuild the mood and continued his words, but… Where had he left off?

As he recalled, the Stone Turtle on the table finally spoke in an ancient, gravelly voice, "Have you thought it through?"

If their karma was severed today, the two would have nothing to do with each other. No contract bound them in the first place, so Hank's words carried power.

If he truly voiced his intent, their connection would be severed.

Hank looked into the Stone Turtle's clear eyes. Pain and dilemma flickered through his face.

Then, as if making up his mind, he clenched his teeth and was ready to say it when Zane's familiar electronic voice interrupted from inside the house.

"What are you talking about?"

Hank snapped around to look at Zane, who'd appeared. The latter held a box and had a calm, even confused look on his face.

Scott couldn't hold back either. He turned to Zane and ratted Hank out, spilling everything the latter had said.

Zane listened and understood that Hank must have overthought. And maybe, the fact that he'd silently turned and walked away was one of the causes too.

For the first time, he reached out and lightly tapped the box against Hank's head. His actions were soft like a feather with a touch of affection like never before.

Hank stood frozen, watching as Zane held out the box and typed. "This was for your 18th birthday. I had it custom-made, but never gave it to you. I brought it this time for maintenance and planned to give it to you later, but I'll give it now.

"This is my first gift to you. The carapace you snatched away doesn't count."

So, neither did the stolen connection.
