Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 1853

With no further interruptions, the dust settled around the half-collapsed hall.

Lexie and the others finally got a clear look at the two figures trapped inside the barrier.

Besides the disheveled Beau, the other man was tall and lean. He had shoulder-length blonde curls, pale skin, and deep-set features. It was the foreigner Scott and Bianca had encountered earlier that day.

"I knew it! It's another vampire!" Lexie didn't hesitate before passing judgment.

Compared to Beau, the man's features and aura made him look more like a classic vampire straight out of a foreign movie.

Shannon formed a mudra and looked at the two without jumping to conclusions.

In the array, the man's deep eyes first swept over Shannon and Benjamin. Then, he said, "My name's Erick Wilder. I'm with the Devil Hunter Association from abroad. I entered Crisea through official approval."

His gaze flickered over the group as he continued, "You're from Crisea's Mystic Arts Association, so you can verify my details. You have no authority to detain me."

He assumed Shannon would lift the barrier after he made that statement. But immediately after, Lexie shot back. "Liar! You and that vampire are obviously working together! Don't try to fool me!"

Her eyes never lied, and she could tell who the other party was at a single glance.

Devil hunters, huh? Erick was clearly a vampire himself!

Erick wasn't angered by her accusation. Instead, he turned to Shannon with a probing and amused gaze. "Your country allows demons and mystic masters to coexist, so why can't we have vampire-born devil hunters?"

"She's right. Everything has an order. If you want to take him, you'll need to go through the proper procedures.

"Once we've taken him back, you can submit a transfer request to Crisea's Special Security Agency."

As she spoke, her eyes turned sharp. "But for now, return him to us."

Her words were polite, but the purple thunder talisman twirling between her fingers left no room for negotiation.

Erick's expression darkened as he eyed the talisman in her hands. After a long pause, he finally released Beau's collar. "I'll hand him over, but in exchange, I want him."

He raised a hand and pointed at the man standing beside Shannon—Benjamin.
