District Three and the Zaprath School of Demon Arts had deliberately kept their locations off satellite maps to prevent ordinary humans from accidentally wandering in. As a result, Jesse couldn't find the place right away.
As a probationary member of the Demon Control Agency, Bianca had the authority to intervene in matters related to human-demon disputes.
She was also curious about which demon youngling was so childish to play such pranks by drawing on someone's face.
Thus, she said, "I go there, too. Follow me."
She then crouched to her feet and told the cat and dog, "I'm going back to school, so you guys head on your way. By that, I mean go straight to your home.
"If you make me lose any mission points, I'll shave off your fur."
Bianca said this with a smile and a gentle tone, which made it seem anything but reassuring.
Jesse was about to comment on how she seemed a bit careless. The dog—fine—but how could the cat understand and get home on its own after being left like that?
Just as he was thinking that, he saw the cat and the black dog obediently nodding at her before turning around and running off.
After settling the two little creatures, Bianca signaled Jesse to follow her.
Scott immediately offered, "Aunt Bianca, I have a car. I can have someone take you both there."
The timing was just right. Shannon should still be in class at the demonic school. He planned to surprise her at the school gates.
With that decided, the group hopped into the car, and Maeve drove them straight toward District Three, which was only two streets away.
It wasn't until the four of them had left that Kylo cautiously peeked his head out from a nearby alley, his face still showing signs of lingering fear.
After a long pause, he pulled out his shattered phone and began typing a message. "Guys, I ran into a real mystic master in Crisea. I almost got cursed with a spell!"
…
After Maeve's car was cleared for entry, they drove straight to the front gates of the demonic school.
Scott had been eagerly anticipating giving Shannon a surprise. However, that plan quickly fell apart.
The video was filmed by a passerby from an upper floor. It had originally been a response to online jokes about foreigners being rude to people, but then a fellow practitioner spotted it and shared it on MysticApp's forum.
The practitioner even gave a serious analysis of his mudra and chanting, concluding that while the earlier parts were just for show, the last talisman, the one that sealed Kylo's mouth, was very much real.
Shannon's voice remained calm as she explained, "The cyber surveillance department at the Special Security Agency just happened to spot the video. They realized that the silencing talisman I gave you was used on an ordinary person.
"They've already notified me, and now I have to pay a fine and lose some mission points."
Despite her composed tone, Scott couldn't help but sense a faint undercurrent of danger in her words.
His posture shifted from confident to slightly hunched, a guilty expression overtaking his face as he immediately apologized, "Shannon, I'm sorry…"
He honestly didn't know using her talisman on someone like that would result in a fine and a point deduction for her. His intention had been purely to scare Kylo a little.
After all, he had figured that Kylo would just assume he was playing tricks if he didn't use the talisman. He thought the talisman would serve as a way to make his point without any serious consequences.
He was truly feeling bad about it, too.
