Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 1200

Watching as the barrier connected to his spiritual energy, Mike revealed a look of satisfaction.

"Did you succeed?" Lexie, at the side, controlled the six ghouls and manipulated them to block the other approaching ghouls. She was so occupied she couldn't turn her head at Mike.

"Of course," he answered confidently. "Also, after careful observation, I discovered the barrier around this village didn't seem to have been set by Alaric. He probably stole it from someone else's array, too."

Otherwise, Mike wouldn't have stolen the barrier for himself so quickly.

He continued lamenting, "I bet the person who set the array was an impressive senior in our mystic arts community. Once we're done with this ordeal, I'm going to delve deeper into this array."

Lexie listened to his incessant chatter through gritted teeth. In the end, she roared at him, "Alright! Now can you come over and help? I can't hold them off anymore!"

"Give it another minute! I need a rest."

Stealing an array from others was considered a tiring activity, too.

In the warehouse at the west village, Alaric realized he couldn't deactivate the barrier. His countenance contorted unnaturally as he glared at Shannon, questioning, "Did you guys do something to my barrier?"

Shannon couldn't bother to answer him. Upon knowing he had lost control of the barrier, she knew Mike had succeeded in hijacking it. Therefore, she focused on defeating the half-formed Unmelting Bone.

Soon, she realized that while Hexspawn was ruthless in his strikes, there were several times when his claws, just inches away from her, were suddenly retracted with force.

He embodied contradiction—his zombie instincts urged it to tear apart anything that moved in front of it, yet the residual consciousness within his body told him that he couldn't harm.

Although he appeared gentle on a daily basis, he was firm and decisive when carrying a weapon. The sight of the half-formed Unmelting Bone, oozing with filth energy, made his demeanor all the more serious and focused.

He lowered his head, gazing at the soul-locking talismans severed in two pieces, and turned to Alaric with furrowed brows. "Why do you know how to use the Darkwoots' soul-locking talisman? It belongs to my family!"

Shannon's ears perked up at the mention of the Darkwoot family. Edward came from that family, huh? What was the connection between the Darkwoot family and Alaric Darkwood?

Alaric narrowed his eyes, full of menace and danger, at the new revelation. "You're a part of the Darkwoots? How… Amazing. Since fate has brought us together, you're destined to die in my hands today!"

His murky eyes flashed with frantic intensity. The next second, he sliced open his wrist and swiftly drew an ominous array with his dripping blood.

At one glance, Edward knew things were about to spiral out of control.
