HeartBroken novel Chapter 4

Chapter Three

She closes her eyes to keep her tears at bay. Why does she keep remembering his hatred? This is not the first time he has insulted her. He's done it endless times in the past. But why does it hurt nonetheless? It hurts every time.

She remembers the days when they were so close to each other. What did she do that made him act like this towards her?

~flashback~

Six year old Sahaan is playing in their backyard with her toys while everyone else is busy with their own things.

Her father’s sister’s son, Azad, slowly walks towards her. Sahaan’s back is facing him, so she can’t see him. Azad pushes her towards the ground, picks up her toys, and runs away with the toys in hand.

Sahaan’s loud wails are heard by ten year old Ahmed. He rushes towards her and hugs her.

"Ajaad stole my toys and ran away." she reports to him, in tears. Ahmed gets up in anger and marches towards Azad. He is about to beat him up, but Azad forwards him Sahaan’s toys.

"Bro, I just want her to say my name properly. It's so easy yet she doesn"t know how to pronounce it."Azad complains, his voice filled with frustration.

“How she says your name is her choice. Who are you to make her cry over such a small matter?!” young Ahmed screams in anger.

“Exactly! Whatever I say to you is my choice, so who are you to steal my toys?!” Sahaan huffs in anger. Her face flushed because of crying, and her chubby cheeks are as red as an apple.

He doesn’t treat everyone the same way. His rude behavior is only for Sahaan. He is really sweet to the rest of the family members, but he hates Sahaan.

Sahaan knows that Ahmed is the type of person who'll do anything for his loved ones.

Thinking of all this, she takes out a paper and starts writing.

~The intensity of his hate is equal to the intensity of his love. He either loves

wholeheartedly or hates wholeheartedly.~
