Meanwhile, Jordan felt uneasy as he held Holly in his arms, his torso bare. His heart clenched when he remembered how indifferent and distant Sabrina had looked when he'd left with Ansel earlier in the day.
Holly didn't notice anything odd about him as she traced his chest with her fingers. She was about to press her cherry lips to his cheek when he pushed her away.
"What's wrong, honey?" She reached out for him, feeling confused. However, he didn't even look at her as he got out of bed and picked up his ripped shirt.
He looked at it disdainfully before casting it aside and pulling out a new shirt from the wardrobe. Then, he turned to leave.
"Where are you going, honey?" Holly's heart leaped to her throat when she saw him in such a rush to leave. She got out of bed to run after him.
He stopped her. "Ansel and I need to head home. Be good."
The warning in his tone made her stop. She could only watch as he headed to the room next door to get a bleary Ansel out of bed. Then, they headed downstairs.
She bit her lip and followed them. When the door opened, she saw a courier guy standing outside. He asked, "Is this where Ms. Holly Rivers lives?"
Holly moved to stand in front of Jordan and Ansel. She nodded. "That's me. Why are you here?"
He stepped aside to reveal two huge boxes behind him. "Ms. Sabrina York had these delivered to you. Please sign for them."
Jordan glanced at the boxes when he heard Sabrina's name. Even Ansel, who was still asleep in his arms, woke up. "Mom?"
Holly didn't have the time to process their reactions. She signed for the boxes and bent down to open them. "Why would she send me anything?"
Jordan put Ansel down to look at the boxes. Holly stiffened when she saw what was inside and pulled something out. "This is…"
Jordan immediately crouched to rummage through the boxes when he saw what Holly held. The boxes were filled with gifts he and Ansel had given Sabrina over the years. There were also the things Sabrina had given them!
Jordan and Sabrina's wedding of the century had made the trending topics, and he frequently talked about how in love they still were with each other. Countless pedestrians immediately recognized him as the man in the photos and noticed the woman wasn't Sabrina.
They started talking among themselves about the scandal while pulling out their phones to take photos. Meanwhile, Jordan and Ansel exchanged panicked looks. How had the photos gotten out?
Just then, a caption appeared on the screen, answering their question. "Sabrina York wishes Jordan Faust, Ansel Faust, and Holly Rivers all the happiness in the world. May they be together forever."
Jordan tightened his grip on the wheel as he stared at the screen. How could Sabrina be behind this?
He was about to say something when the light turned green. The cars behind him honked like crazy.
The Maybach sped along the road and disappeared from view like an arrow released from a bow. It usually took an hour to get home from Holly's villa, but this time, the journey only took 40 minutes.
Jordan barely even stopped the car before jumping out and striding toward the villa. He pushed the door open.
