Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right novel Chapter 1910

Marian dragged Fermin to the amusement park where they had a blast all day.

Fermin felt like all his worries melted away.

That evening, Marian held his hand as they walked home under the setting sun. Their shadows stretched long.

"Mom, I wish everything was real," he muttered.

If it were real, he could tell her how much he loved her.

But reality and illusion were so brutally divided.

He couldn't convince himself this was true, not because the fantasy was too perfect, but because reality was too cruel.

He couldn't forget how Marian left this world. The Illuminati killed her.

From then on, he dragged out his existence for Liza, Bert, and the Eaton family. He wouldn't let this fake paradise make him forget his mission in the real world.

With those words, the illusion shattered, and he woke up from the dream.

"So, this is the rebirth Jeffrey was obsessed with," he laughed, looking at the gems in his hand.

So many lives had been sacrificed for this fake nonsense. It was ridiculous.

Fake was fake. It could never be real.

At first, it was just headaches. Then he felt another personality growing inside him.

He saw countless therapists and slowly learned the traits of this other personality. Then he mastered controlling it.

The only wildcard was dragging Liza into this fight.

He felt guilty for letting her lose Garland. So, even after Garland's personality faded, Fermin would mimic him and joke with her.

Maybe she loved Garland more, but that was fine. Garland or Fermin. It was all him.

If she wanted, he could be Garland forever.
