Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right novel Chapter 1744

"Me?" Debra pointed at herself, glancing around.

No one else was there. This guy was talking to her.

"Why are you at my house?"

"Your house?"

Before she could figure out what was going on, Marion took a step toward her.

His expression was cold, almost fierce.

Debra instinctively backed up, but he took another step closer.

"Hold it. Don't come any closer." Her voice shook as her heels hit the stone ledge by the fountain.

One more step, and she'd tumble in.

Marion acted like he didn't hear her. He kept moving forward.

Debra scrambled onto the ledge, pointing at him. "I said, don't... Ahh."

She hit the water. The fountain soaked her through, wrecking her makeup and hair. Her face darkened.

"Debra." Jordan raced over, seeing her drenched and sprawled in the fountain.

Marion stepped forward, offering her a hand.

Itzel stepped forward. Marion moved to her side. "Mother."

Jordan's brows shot up. "So, this is the famous Mr. Marion Houston. What are you trying to prove, picking on girls? Come at me if you've got guts."

Marion didn't even glance at him.

Itzel scolded Marion, "How could you do that? Go apologize to Debra right now."

"Sorry, Miss Frazier," Marion said, flat and robotic.

Debra didn't hear an ounce of sincerity. She scowled. "I'm not accepting that."

"You brat, causing trouble the second you get back," Itzel said, smacking his arm. "It's freezing out here. Take Debra inside quickly."
