Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right novel Chapter 1732

Ben hesitated. "For real? They're still hurt."

"Yeah, do it," Debra said.

The pair in the room perked up, itching for something to do. Then their phones started pinging.

Their smiles faded when they saw a barrage of documents, including contracts, renewals, breach penalties from stalled businesses, financials, department summaries, layoffs, and the Illuminati spy probes.

Erica's head spun. She looked at Debra, who had walked in. "All of these?"

"Yup," Debra replied. "The Illuminati hit everyone hard. Every company is in the same boat. Marion has been up before dawn at his company, hiring elites to lighten the load. Millions have been spent. Your company is not looking great either. Good luck with it."

"Debra..." Erica whined.

Debra plugged her ears and headed to Randy's room next door.

He held his phone out like it was sacred. "I'm sorry, and I appreciate your hard work these past few days. My shoulder's still rough and might take a month or two to heal. My company will be depending on you."

"Dream on," she said. "You asked for it. We're short-handed. Just handle what you can and dump the rest on me. Oh, and every day you slack, you're losing millions. Your family is broke anyway. Most of your assets were transferred to the Illuminati."

"Enoch was their leader. Now that he's dead, their stash is mine, right?" Randy blinked, picturing himself filthy rich.

"Mr. Hardy is here. Says you called him over, ma'am."

"Tell him to wait in the living room."

Debra headed down and saw a restless Pedro on the couch.

He jumped up. "Mrs. Houston."

"Mr. Hardy," she greeted, pulling a flash drive out of her pocket, "I've got something for you."
