Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right novel Chapter 1721

"I'm here to help." Robert burst in from outside, leading a wave of mercenaries.

Theda and Oscar rushed in too. Among them, there was a special group. They were from the Eaton family.

Fermin strode in, declaring, "Old fool, today's your last day."

"Now!" Robert held off those guys in Marion's way.

By then, Enoch had already placed the stone on the machine.

Debra shouted, "That thing's got a startup delay. Shut it down before it kicks in."

"Michael, stop them," Enoch said, unfazed.

Michael moved fast to fend off Marion.

"Shit!" Debra groaned as the machine on the platform started glowing.

It felt like that time in the Potter Mansion's basement.

Marion instinctively jumped back, but nothing happened.

Then a massive explosion ripped the machine apart.

"Get down!" Marion ducked as everyone hit the deck.

Michael didn't buy it. "My people checked it. What Drake held was the stone you shipped from overseas to Orkgate. No mistake."

Andrew smiled but said nothing.

Michael frowned, then caught on. "So, it was fake from the start? You never had the real stone? Then what you took from the Eaton family..."

"Fake," Fermin said flatly. "If Bert had something that good, the Eaton family wouldn't have been in this mess."

"It's all fake." Enoch stumbled, pointing at Andrew. "You..."

"I won't die that easily. Sorry to disappoint you," Andrew said calmly. "But if my death didn't reach your ears, my plan wouldn't work. Your first mistake? Greed. Second? Arrogance. Third? Underestimating me. One wrong move screws the whole game. Paranoid types are easy to fool. Overconfidence always flops."
