"I'll go," Marion said. "You stay at Potter Mansion and rest. I'll check it out."
Debra shook her head. "No. Mr. Eaton Sr. saved Michael because of Liza and her ties to me. If something's wrong, I can't stay back."
Marion respected her choice. "Well then, we'll go together. If anything happens, we'll get each other's backs."
Debra nodded, praying it was a fluke. But if Michael was the mole, she would confront him and find out if their two years of teamwork were just fake.
"You don't need to go overseas," a voice cut in.
Jordan stood at the door, grim. "Just got word: the Eaton family is in chaos. Mr. Eaton Sr. had a sudden attack last night. He's being rescued in the hospital."
"What about Michael?" Debra asked, trembling.
"He went missing," Jordan replied.
Everyone knew what that meant. All eyes landed on Debra. Her eyes reddened, her body shaking. She didn't say a word, but the tension screamed.
Presumably, Michael had wormed into their house to take out Bert, allowing Fermin to take the reins.
Jordan added, "Instead of walking into their trap, we should hunker down and figure out our next move."
The Illuminati had controlled things there, with Fermin being their puppet. Orkgate was ruled by Lara. They couldn't go there either.
Now only Seamar City remained intact. They were like white pieces on a chessboard, surrounded by black.
