"I'll handle it." Jordan turned to leave.
Drake called after him, "Orkgate isn't your playground. Think the Potter name lets you run wild? Save it. You're not Andrew. You don't have juice."
Andrew's weight was great enough, but Jordan was just a newbie propped up by the Potter family, not the other way around.
"No one's going," a voice interrupted. "I am."
Juan stood at the door. Jordan's secretary scurried up. "Sir, Mr. Nichols said he's got a way to save Mrs. Houston, so I let him in."
"You?" Jordan sneered. "Think you can do that?"
"Yes," Juan said, tossing a seal at them. "While I'm gone, help me run my company. I'll bring her back safe."
He walked out, and Jordan reluctantly eyed the seal.
The chief chuckled, "No kidding. This is just routine. You have no reason to kill Kurtis. Just rest here and answer some questions. If you're clear, you're free. No harm done."
He turned to the warden. "Watch her. If anything happens, it's on you."
"Yes, sir," the warden yapped.
Once the chief left, the warden's mask dropped. "Don't think the chief's got your back. This is my turf. I can deal with you how I want."
