Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right novel Chapter 1575

Liza quickly waved her hands. "Don't worry. I won't linger."

She knew how terrible Orkgate was. She had been there once and had no interest in going back.

"Go on." Fermin signaled to someone at the door, and a suitcase was wheeled in.

Liza blinked. "You packed my bags for me?"

"Orkgate isn't my territory, but no one there would dare harm you. Still, it's best to bring your things," Fermin replied, placing a delicate butterfly necklace around her neck. "You liked the jewelry from that designer, didn't you? This one was custom-made for you. Consider it a lucky charm. Don't lose it, or I'll be upset."

Liza looked down at the necklace and beamed, "How did you know butterflies are my favorite? Thank you. I'll wear it all the time."

She could hardly wait to get on a plane and check on Debra.

...

In Orkgate, Debra hadn't left the Lowe Mansion all day.

She lay in bed when she was tired and ordered takeout when she was hungry.

By evening, there was a rapid knock on the door. She went downstairs to open it, only to find Liza standing there.

Her gaze shifted toward the bodyguard at the door. He was built like a tank, wearing dark sunglasses. He was more like a trained mercenary than just a hired guard.

Liza noticed her staring and turned around. "Why are you still standing there? Are you planning to stay here with us? Just go."

She knew full well that the bodyguard had been sent by Fermin to keep an eye on her. With him around, she wouldn't be able to talk freely with Debra.

"Miss," the bodyguard said calmly, "Mr. Eaton ordered me to stay close and ensure your safety. I can't leave."

"Stay close?" Liza snapped. "What, you're gonna follow me to the bathroom too? Out!"
