Randy spoke up. "You're leaving so soon? Let's continue to have fun. You can just crash here. Debra and Marion won't mind."
"We have a place to stay. Besides, this is their new house, so another day maybe," Theda replied.
Michael also stood up. "I'm going back, too. Got an appointment tomorrow to make."
"Us too." Oscar and Chace stood up.
Jordan said, "There are still some family matters for me to do, so I won't stay tonight. Let's catch up another time."
Drake stood up as well, saying to Kale, "Let's go."
Randy and Erica looked around, a bit stunned.
Erica stood up and said, "Oh, right, don't we have a date tomorrow? Come on, let's go."
"A date?" Randy hadn't finished speaking when Erica pulled him up and dragged him toward the door.
He pointed to his jacket in the chair, "Wait, my jacket."
"Forget about it. I'll get you a new one," she said.
Debra and Marion were left alone in the room.
"I'll clean up. You've had a long day. Go take a rest," he said.
"Marion." Debra grabbed his sleeve.
Marion looked down at her with concern. "What's wrong? Feeling unwell?"
"Marion, do you love me?" she suddenly asked.
She rarely asked him this question because Marion answered her through his actions.
"Yes, I love you. If you want to hear it, I can say it a million times," he replied.
"Look into my eyes and say it." She cupped his face in her hands.
Marion's eyes sparkled with a smile. "I love you."
Marion held her hands gently and pressed a soft kiss into her palm. "I love you in this life and the next. I will love you forever."
"What if you're lying to me?" Her eyelashes fluttered.
