Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right novel Chapter 1192

Marion dragged Ivan to the living room.

Seeing his eyes darting around, Debra demanded, "Spill it. Who are you sending this message to?"

"No one," Ivan stammered.

"Stop lying," Randy snorted. "You think only young people can use this stuff? I've been at it longer than you have."

In no time, he cracked the code and projected the content onto the TV. The screen showed an email address, and the subject of the email hadn't been edited yet.

Debra said, "Look into the email address."

"It's from overseas," Randy replied. "Give me two hours, and I'll have the registration details."

"You can save the trouble," Ivan chimed in. "That's my account."

Debra frowned. "What do you mean?"

"I don't want to investigate you guys, but the person behind all this has been threatening my family. I have to follow their orders, or we won't survive in Orkgate," Ivan explained.

Debra raised an eyebrow. "So, did you meet them before?"

Debra studied Ivan's face, unsure whether to trust him. Marion, on the other hand, didn't believe it for a second.

He pressed a knife to Ivan's neck. "How did you plan the Jovial Hotel incident?"

"I know Mrs. Houston doubts me," Ivan stammered, "but I can't tell you. He had my dad hold off Drake. I wanted to alarm you of the danger Mrs. Houston was in, so I delivered food to you. I don't want to harm anyone. Everything I said is true."

"Is it?" Marion pressed the blade closer to Ivan's throat. "I don't buy it."

"Wait," Debra called out. "Trust is mutual. I get it that you want to protect your family, but if you want me to believe you, you need to give me a reason. Then I'll consider sparing you and even protecting your family."
