Zayn was clearly taken aback. His eyes were cold and devoid of emotion, as if they belonged to a demon from hell.
He froze for a moment. As anger surged across his face, he regained his composure.
“It’s you?”
He hadn’t expected the person who had stepped in to block him would be Leander, the most inconspicuous member of the Ravenridge group.
“What do you want to do?”
Zayn felt a strange lack of pressure in front of Leander. He stood up and glared at him with hostility, and his expression darkened.
Autumn’s eyes were cold. Things were almost settled. Why is Leander stepping in now?
“I’m here to take her away!” Leander glanced at Zayn briefly before turning to Yvette and intended on lifting her up.
“What are you doing? Yvette came here with me. Who do you think you are to take her away?”
Autumn’s gaze turned colder. Leander was just a country bumpkin in her eyes. How dare he challenge her?
Leander remained unmoved. His eyes lifted slightly, the coldness in them fixed on Autumn. “I don’t want to hit a woman, but I might make an exception for someone like you. You’d better move aside before I change my mind.”
The moment his words fell, a low shout echoed through the room.
“Get lost!”
Autumn was taken aback by the force of his presence and stumbled back three steps. Her face was drained of color. She hadn’t expected the seemingly calm young man, who appeared to have no temper, to exude such a terrifying aura. She had never felt this kind of pressure from him even though she had often seen someone like Frankie, the local kingpin.
She stepped aside. Leander moved to carry Yvette, but Zayn suddenly bellowed, “You b*stard, who do you think you are to interfere with my business?”
Zayn threw a powerful punch aimed at Leander’s back. His father was the underground kingpin of Ascendia. Zayn had grown up in the streets and often found himself in fights and brawls. He was used to winning in physical confrontations.

Leander would be easy for him to overpower. Zayn struck with full force without hesitation.
Bang!
He thought his punch would take Leander down. However, Leander didn’t even turn around. He slapped Zayn across the face with a swift motion before he could react.
The force was so strong that Zayn flew backward like a kite with its string cut. He crashed into several tables and fell with a loud crash.
Autumn stared in shock. She was unable to believe what she had just witnessed that Leander had dared to strike Zayn!
The other wealthy youths and ladies who had been watching were frozen in disbelief. Zayn, the young master of one of Ascendia’s top families and the son of the notorious Gumus, was known for being untouchable. Yet, he had been knocked down by this stranger with a single
slap.
Pff!
Zayn spat out a mouthful of blood, and a few of his teeth stained red. His fury surged to a new level, and his anger reached its boiling point.
“Someone, get here quickly!” he howled in rage.
A dozen bouncers wielding batons rushed into the bar within moments. They lined
up behind Zayn and glared menacingly at Leander. These weren’t just regular security guards. They were hired thugs and carefully chosen by Zayn himself. They were dangerous and ruthless.
They all focused on Leander when they saw Zayn get beaten. Their eyes blazed with fury.
“The rest of you get out now! This has nothing to do with you,” Zayn roared and the elites in the bar dispersed immediately. It included Autumn, too.

He pointed at Leander with a bloodthirsty smile curling at the corners of his lips.
“Get him! Beat him to death! I’ll take full responsibility if he dies!”
The bouncers surged forward and wielded their batons as they charged at Leander. They didn’t care if he lived or died. They only cared about getting paid.
Leander remained motionless and his expression unchanged. He casually threw out a single punch.
Wham!

Chapter 83 Mr Ashcroft?

The first six or seven men, who had been at the front, spewed blood and were sent flying backward. They took down several others in their fall.

Finished.
The rest hesitated and were stunned by what they had seen. However, they rushed back into the fray after a brief pause.
Leander still didn’t move. Each punch he threw sent at least ten men sprawling. The bar’s floor was littered with groaning bouncers within moments and the room filled with the sound of their pain.
Autumn couldn’t believe her eyes. She watched in disbelief as Leander single–handedly took down more than a dozen burly men as if it were nothing. It was like watching a scene from an action movie.
Leander finished the fight as though he had just completed an inconsequential task. His expression remained indifferent as he bent down to lift Yvette.
Yvette stirred as her alertness returned. She groggily opened her eyes and struggled to fight off the overwhelming fatigue. When she finally focused, she recognized the figure in front of her.
“Leander?” she whispered. Her voice was soft and sleepy.
Leander remained cold and detached. His tone was impassive. “I’ll give you one more choice. Stay here or come with me.”
She was now aware that she had been drugged. She didn’t hesitate for a second and responded immediately. “Take me with you.”
He nodded and carefully lifted her onto his back. Yvette felt his warmth and immediately relaxed. The sense of security washed over her, and she fell back into a deep sleep.
“D*mn it, do you think you can leave after hitting me?”
Zayn recovered from the shock of being beaten and screamed out in fury. He grabbed a bottle and hurled it at Leander.
However, Leander simply let the bottle fly back toward Zayn without even turning. It struck him square on the forehead and knocked him to the ground. The blood spilled from his face.
Zayn’s face contorted with rage. In Leander’s eyes, he was nothing more than an insignificant bug, less than an ant, Leander didn’t even glance at him. He turned and walked toward the door with Yvette on his back.
