Jeff Ashcroft was an identity Leander had earned through countless life–and–death struggles and the trials of blood and fire over the past few years.

From the moment he had been inexplicably expelled from the Ashcroft family and abandoned on a desolate mountain by Gareth Ashcroft, he vowed to rise above the clouds and defy the heavens. He would not let the earth confine his heart, nor would he allow the sky to blind his

“Jeff? Great, I’ll remember it. I will definitely report this to my master, so you’d better wait for it!”

Raymond spat another mouthful of blood. His eyes filled with malice.

He had noted Leander’s name, then staggered out of the room in the most humiliating

manner.

Gale and Dylan snapped back to reality after witnessing the force behind Leander’s punch. They quickly rushed to his side.

“Mr. Ashcroft, you really shouldn’t have acted like that!” Gale exclaimed with anxiety evident in his voice.

Leander’s expression remained calm as he casually replied, “Oh? Why not? I was merely reclaiming my winnings!”

Gale swallowed hard. His voice trembled slightly. “Mr. Ashcroft, you were only reclaiming what was rightfully yours while it’s true that Raymond had a wager with you. However, the critical point is that his master is the Jade Emperor! Don’t you know who the Jade Emperor is?”

Leander shrugged. “I really don’t know who!”

Although he had made rapid progress in martial arts over the years and was well–versed in many renowned martial techniques from history, he was still unaware of the prominent figures in the current Astrian martial arts world.

Gale sighed at the seriousness of Leander’s demeanor. His expression turned grave. “Mr. Ashcroft, perhaps you lack some awareness of the martial arts community. Are you familiar with the Four Extremes?”

Leander shook his head.

“The Four Extremes refers to the four most powerful individuals acknowledged in the Astrian martial arts community. They are revered by many experts across the land! They are known as North Dragon, South Shire, West Judie, and East Morgan–Royce!”

“Among them, South Shire is the one Raymond just mentioned. His name is Grayson, and he resides on the Jade Emperor of Listin Star Peak in Mornwick, which is why he has earned the title of Jade Emperor!”

“Oh?” Leander raised an eyebrow. He was surprised to learn that Raymond’s master had such a notable background and was one of the Four Extremes in the current Astrian martial arts world.

“What kind of power does this Grayson possess? Is he also a Martial Sovereign?” Leander asked.

“Grayson is more than just a Martial Sovereign!” Gale shook his head and let out a sigh. “He is undoubtedly one of the top–tier figures among Martial Sovereigns!”

“He became famous at forty. He challenged renowned masters in the Mornwick area upon entering the scene and establishing an undefeated record, making the ruler of this region.”

“His martial skills are ruthless. Those who have faced him and lost ultimately end up dead at his hands. He is often regarded as the most bloodthirsty among the Four Extremes. He has killed no fewer than thirteen Martial Sovereigns throughout his history.”

“Thirteen?” A flicker of intensity flashed in Leander’s eyes.

The ability to kill thirteen Martial Sovereigns indicated that Grayson’s strength had reached an unfathomable level.

Yet, Leander showed no sign of fear. Instead, his expression turned intrigued.

Gale furrowed his brow, expressing regret. “Mr. Ashcroft, we’re in real trouble if what Raymond said is true, and he’s indeed a disciple of Grayson!”

“Grayson is notorious for being ruthless. If he learns that you’ve injured his disciple and comes looking for you, then…”

He trailed off, leaving the implication hanging in the air.

Leander’s youth suggested he had just begun his journey though he was a Martial Sovereign. However, Grayson was a seasoned killer at the pinnacle of power.

Leander would be an easy target if Grayson came for him!

“Are you worried I’ll die at his hands?”

Leander chuckled softly with a smirk appearing at the corner of his mouth.

“I’ll be waiting for him if he wants to come. I genuinely want to see what special skills this so- called Jade Emperor possesses to be included among the Four Extremes!”

Leander’s tone hinted that he wanted to challenge Grayson Shire, which made Gale and Dylan exchange a glance and share a wry smile.

They acknowledged that Leander was incredibly strong by having achieved the status of Martial Sovereign before turning twenty. However, Grayson Shire was a true overlord in the Astrian martial arts community!

“Mr. Ashcroft, your talent is extraordinary. You’ve already attained Martial Sovereign status at such a young age. Why not retreat for ten years? After that time, you will surely become even stronger with your aptitude and abilities. Then, you can confront Grayson again!”

Gale worried that Leander might be overconfident, so he urged him to reconsider. Leander could potentially rival Grayson if given ten years, in his view.

Leander chuckled and shook his head. He didn’t want to dwell on that issue. Instead, he inquired, “Who are the other three in the Four Extremes?”

Seeing that Leander was not inclined to heed his advice, Gale sighed softly and continued, “West Judie refers to Sean Judie, who is a descendant of the Judies from Klolk!”

“The Judies are descended from Paul Judie, who was a famed strategist. They are not only highly skilled in martial arts but also masters of intricate formations, excelling in arranging formations and interpreting omens!”
