He patted Arthur on the shoulder, snapping him out of his daze, and continued, “Arthur, you’ll head to Ravenridge in Mornwick tomorrow. Do exactly as Mr. Ashcroft instructed–handle every matter properly. Then, meet him in person, apologize, and make peace.”

Arthur opened his mouth to speak, but couldn’t get the words out. In the end, he just nodded. All his former pride and confidence had faded entirely.

Melissa, the family’s princess, watched with deep curiosity on her alluring face. She was desperate to know just how terrifying the man at the top of the Astria Power Index truly was. In the business class cabin of the flight to Ravenridge, Monica still hadn’t shaken off the shock. She looked at Leander, wide–eyed.

Next to her, Linden looked like he wanted to say something, but couldn’t find the words. Yvette sat quietly beside Leander, no longer the aloof ice queen. Her eyes sparkled as she stared at him, emotions surging in her chest.
