From a Wrong Turn to Mr. Right novel Chapter 60

Hearing Adelina say that, Olivia Bennett felt instantly at ease, a warm glow settling in her chest.

Whether it was the way Adelina had stood up for her earlier, or how she was fussing over her now, Olivia couldn’t help but feel genuinely cared for.

Adelina always gave off this motherly, nurturing vibe.

Olivia curved her lips into a smile. “Honestly, I usually have someone helping me out. And putting on some makeup isn’t that tiring, I promise.”

Adelina nodded, “You still need to take care of yourself. Don’t be like Ethan—he’s always buried in work, hardly ever see him these days. I swear, sometimes I wonder if he even remembers what home looks like.”

She ended with a playful sigh, clearly used to poking fun at her son.

Olivia nodded, keeping her attention on her work. She didn’t want to get swept up in the complaints, but she also didn’t want to leave Adelina hanging.

She responded absent-mindedly, “Oh, you have a son?”

As soon as the words left her mouth, Olivia realized how that must’ve sounded. She immediately backtracked, flustered, “Wait, I didn’t mean it like that! It’s just, you look so young—I never would’ve guessed your son was all grown up.”

Adelina just smiled, completely unfazed. “I know what you mean. Ethan’s already twenty-seven, way older than you.”

Twenty-seven? Olivia blinked in surprise. Up close, Adelina’s skin was flawless and her features so youthful that you’d never guess she had a son pushing thirty.

But twenty-seven... Olivia’s brows arched ever so slightly as her mind drifted.

If she remembered correctly, Ethan Carter was twenty-seven this year too.

“What are you thinking about?” Adelina asked, picking up on Olivia’s quiet smile and a faraway look in her eyes.
