Lindsey completely did not notice Zayn's presence. She held the cocktail glass and looked at the two women sent by Zayn with buzzed eyes. "What are your names again? I forgot."
The two people who had been following her for days looked grim. Lindsey had not forgotten their names, she just never asked.
"My name is Lina Gugg, and her name is Ann Gugg."
Lindsey muttered, "You’re both Guggs? None of the Guggs are good people...Come, let's drink! Cheers!"
She then raised her empty glass, but all of a sudden her whole body felt light as she was lifted from behind.
Lindsey struggled. The feeling of not being able to step on the ground made her feel insecure. She turned her head back to see who was carrying her only to see Zayn's gloomy face.
Zayn never thought that Lindsey would drink so much. When he approached her, her breath was filled with the smell of alcohol and an intoxicating sweetness.
Lindsey tilted her head to look at him, then reached out to pinch his cheeks.
"Lindsey Juhl, do you know who I am?" Zayn’s eyes reflected her face and he looked extremely somber.
Without thinking, Lindsey answered, "Zayn Guggenheim."
Fortunately, she still recognized him and did not think that he was someone else.
However, the woman in front of him seemed to recall something upsetting and repeated his name a few times. She then pouted her lips and started to cry.
"Sob sob...Zayn...you’re Zayn...sob sob..."
She wailed as she called his name and the frost on Zayn's face started to melt along with her tears.
"Stop crying." His voice was still fierce.
Lindsey ignored him and kept crying. When Zayn yelled at her, she shuddered and cried louder. Zayn was helpless and softened his voice, “Please stop crying...”
She still cried a lot, but this time, she lifted her eyes to look at him and did not look like a drunk person.
"Okay, okay...don't cry." Zayn’s voice became gentle. He had never coaxed anyone before, so he felt awkward when he spoke.
Lindsey choked a little and looked at him again. She then reached out to hug him and cried even more in his arms.
Ginny was just watching from the side. At first, she was surprised by Zayn’s arrival. At this moment, she was just enjoying the show. When she saw Zayn’s helplessness, she had a feeling that Lindsey was avenging herself.
Speaking of which, seeing such an indifferent man like Zayn in this state made Ginny feel relieved. It was about time Lindsey got even with him!
The surrounding people looked over in their direction. Zayn did not want other men to see Lindsey’s drunken state, so he put an arm tightly around her waist and strode out.
Throughout the whole ordeal, Zayn did not interact with Ginny, but she did not mind and continued drinking. After a while, she realized that Lina and Ann were still there.
"Aren't you guys leaving?" Ginny asked.
"The Young Master instructed us to send you home."
A puzzled expression appeared on Ginny's face as she asked, "When did your Young Master tell you that?"
‘How did I not hear it?’
"His eyes."
Zayn had to carry Lindsey while watching the steps under his feet, which was really inconvenient. Even so, he did not think of changing his position of carrying the woman in his arms.
