Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 9

The best deal was to betray their daughter!

Lindsey’s hand that was holding her phone clenched fiercely. She was biting the back of her other hand to prevent herself from making a sound in a fit of anger.

It turned out that they already knew back then that Zayn Guggenheim had a girlfriend and still recklessly arranged with Grandpa Guggenheim to marry her off.

It also seemed that since 20 years ago from the orphanage, they already had the idea of selling off their daughter!

All these years, her sincerity was taken for granted and she was used in return!

Twenty years! Twenty years of living together! She treated them like her real parents, but to them, she was merely an object to exchange for family benefits!

At this moment, Lindsey Juhl only felt despair.

She left the Juhl family home while it was still bright out and found it all to be so pathetic that it was laughable.

Lindsey took a taxi and went straight to the office. She was supposed to meet with the client for a case she had been busy preparing for half a month. Now that she was hated by her husband and abandoned by her family, work was the only thing keeping her from feeling utterly useless.

In case she wanted to leave the Juhls and Guggenheims one day, she would also have her own standing.

However, when she arrived at the office, Lydia told her that the signing ceremony scheduled for later had been canceled by the client.

"Canceled? How is that possible? We even have the follow-up data ready and the first few collaborations have always been satisfactory, so how could they suddenly change their mind?"

Lydia gave her a look. Her tone was a little helpless as she said, "It's not just this one case, the majority of other customers who previously had the intention to cooperate have also become hesitant. They’ll likely all be terminated..."

Lindsey looked at Lydia incredulously and asked, "How can this be? Lydia...did I make some kind of mistake? Is that why the company canceled so many of my projects?"

When Lydia saw that Lindsey looked clueless, the anxiety on her face intensified.

"Lindsey, tell me honestly. Did you offend someone recently? All these clients were intercepted by the same company."
