Lindsey did not look as relaxed anymore and looked somewhat alert as she unconsciously frowned. "Why?"

"They're all talking about you!" Quentin swept a glance around and sneered. "All of them are just bored and have nothing better to do."

Lindsey already felt it earlier, but she did not get mad. She briefly explained her situation to Quentin, who looked over to where she and Mr. Cooper were standing earlier, but the man was long gone.

Quentin snorted. He had been playing the role of Denarius' social butterfly all night, so he had no time for others. However, he did notice the commotion Mr. Cooper caused when he arrived at the venue, but Quentin could only see his back.

Thinking of Mr. Cooper’s back, Quentin's face became a little tense and his voice unconsciously became deeper as he said, "Do you think that Mr. Cooper’s back is somewhat similar to the President’s?"

Quentin was not the first person to have said this. Lindsey furrowed her eyebrows slightly. Even after so many encounters, Lindsey felt that this man still gave her that sense of familiarity.

"Yeah, they’re alike." Lindsey did not deny it. Her face became a little glum and her voice unconsciously sounded more despondent. "So what if they're alike? How could it be him?"

Zayn was dead. She saw him trapped in that explosion, held his ashes, and personally arranged his funeral.

Lindsey slipped out of the reception through the side door. Her car was parked outside the hotel and its white body was conspicuous under the streetlights.

After coming out of the warm hotel, goosebumps immediately appeared on her exposed skin because of the cold. She shivered and quickly reached into her purse to grab her keys.

Lindsey did not bring much with her in her purse, only her phone, car keys, lipstick, and a pack of tissues. However, Lindsey could not find her keys after feeling for them.

She took out her phone and even turned her bag upside down to shake it.

Strangely, her purse was empty. There was nothing else inside.

"Where did it go?" Lindsey was anxious and muttered under her breath.

The cold air brought the heat away from her body. Lindsey became more anxious, but she still could not find her keys. Just as she was about to go back to look for them, a light suddenly shone from her side.

Lindsey subconsciously squinted her eyes but found that the light was not blinding, and it was quickly turned off. Later, she heard the sound of a car door opening and closing.

The man's long legs were extremely eye-catching in his black pants. He had a black coat draped over his arm and Lindsey took a break from looking for her keys. She just watched Mr. Cooper as he walked towards her from a short distance away in a few seconds.

"You..." Lindsey wanted to ask why he had not left yet, but just as she opened her mouth, she felt something heavy on her shoulders. Mr. Cooper draped the black coat that was on his arm over her body.

"Why did you come out wearing so little?" The man's voice was faintly reproachful, which was familiar if Lindsey listened to it carefully. However, Lindsey’s thoughts were not on that at the moment, so she did not hear the familiarity.

Lindsey subconsciously wanted to reach out to take the coat off and return them to Mr. Cooper, but before she could move, the man's hands were pressed on her shoulder to stop her. "Don't take it off, I won’t wear it. Do you want to freeze to death?"

While she followed Mr. Cooper towards his car, she made a call to the driver that Quentin had arranged for her.
