Even so, Arthur could see at a glance that Quentin had urgent business.
Although Arthur still greeted some others that passed by, his demeanor and tone were perfunctory, which was not at all like his usual style.
Arthur originally did not care, but he had amazing observation skills, not just because he was targeting Quentin. Soon, he did not seem as relaxed as he was at the beginning.
That was because when he went down to the parking lot and was ready to leave, he found that the car Lindsey arrived in was still there, and the driver was standing by the car looking anxious while he was on the phone.
Somehow, the young driver looked even more anxious after being hung up on and tried calling again, then he kept repeating that monotonous action over and over again.
Arthur watched for a few seconds and was certain that Lindsey was not answering. A trace of nervousness inexplicably swept through his heart.
Lindsey was burning up and she could feel that the person who had been dragging her threw her onto a soft cushion, but she did not know if it was a bed or a sofa.
"Mm..." Lindsey felt uncomfortable. The last trace of reason in her mind told her to leave and get up, but she could not manage a single ounce of strength in her body.
She felt that her soul was burning, and her limbs and bones were sore from the heat.
"Go away!" There was a figure shifting in front of her, but she could not see the other person's face clearly.
Lindsey was burning up. She felt stuffy and thirsty, and she knew that this was a reaction to the drugs. She knew that she should try to restrain herself and keep herself awake, but her hand unconsciously picked at the suit jacket that she was wearing.
She wanted to take the jacket off to ease the heat that she was feeling, but she could not get it off.
Some people were whispering around her. Lindsey could not hear what they were saying, but she noticed that someone’s lecherous eyes kept landing on her body.
Suddenly, the whispers disappeared, and another voice sounded close to her ear. "Are you feeling uncomfortable? Do you want to take off your clothes?"
Lindsey's body squirmed uncomfortably on the floor twice and subconsciously replied, "Mm..."
She was not aware that her voice was so soft and alluring when it seeped into the man's ears.
The man with the big belly reacted almost immediately. His eyes dangerously sized up Lindsey's luscious body that was still clothed and rubbed his hands excitedly.
"Then I'll help you!" After saying that, he reached out to tug on the jacket that Lindsey was wearing.
However, the woman who was dazed earlier seemed to have regained a little bit of her sanity. Lindsey somehow found the strength to dodge him and grabbed onto her jacket tightly. She squeezed out the words, “Go away!”
Her eyes were delicate and on guard.
"Awww..." The man did not feel deterred by her reluctance and felt even more excited. "Aren’t you feeling uncomfortable? If I leave, who will help you?"
The two men who brought Lindsey in and Lindsey's assistant were still in the room.
The man was in high spirits and was interrupted halfway, so he impatiently turned around and yelled, "Who is it?"
The man who just left spoke with a deep voice, "Boss, Zayn Guggenheim brought his people here and they’re now checking each floor."
The man's voice sounded urgent like he just rushed over right after receiving the news. That was why he rapped on the door abruptly. The man with the big belly froze. His mind was filled with thoughts of Lindsey who was in front of him. After a moment, he finally came to his senses and reacted to what the man said.
Why would Zayn Guggenheim come here?
They were now in a private hotel suite on the 25th floor. After they got off the elevator earlier, those few people dragged Lindsey up two more floors using the stairs just to prevent showing their tracks.
Now it had only been half an hour, so why would Zayn Guggenheim show up here?
The man's lust was like a balloon that burst. He instantly started sweating profusely. He was not sure what this woman meant to Zayn. Ann said that Zayn did not have feelings for his ex-wife, which was why he did not hesitate to divorce her.
This was also the reason why he dared to target Lindsey. However, Zayn suddenly appeared and came to find her. This did not match what Ann told him.
The person who knocked on the door had not left yet. When he did not hear his boss’ response, he knocked a few more times urgently. "Boss, what should we do?"
The man stood up at once and put on his jacket. He reluctantly glanced at Lindsey and no longer stayed. He then walked over and pulled the door open. "Let’s go!"
The man lowered his head and followed him. The other man who was next door also followed suit.
