Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 587

A few of the ladies in the store behind them gasped in unison.

Dezi’s small hand touched Arthur’s large hands and released it at once. Dezi looked at Arthur with apprehension.

Lindsey touched the back of Dezi’s head to assure him not to be afraid, then looked at Arthur again. "Mr. Arthur, what else do you want?"

Arthur still had that charming smile on his face, which made him look even more stunning, but Lindsey was immune to handsome men and withdrew her gaze after a glance.

She wanted to see what this man wanted to do, but it turned out that he just came to introduce himself to Dezi. Arthur stood up and put away his smile this time, but his expression was still warm.

He scanned around the store. It was not a good place to talk, but this entire floor had no suitable place to talk. After some thought, Arthur was straightforward and said frankly, "I’m investing in Hemera and will provide technical support for you. Perhaps this is enough to show my sincerity?"

Zayn caught up late. He walked around the mall before he saw a few people in front of the children's clothing store who were obviously bodyguards. His eyes turned cold as he took a few steps forward.

Arthur's people knew who Zayn was. When they saw him coming, the few of them looked at each other and did not know what to do for a moment.

Zayn just approached and heard Arthur's words. He also noticed the way Arthur was looking at Lindsey. His gaze was clear, bright, and gentle, and was totally different from his contemptuous gaze the first time they met in the villa.

That was the same man. For a moment, Zayn felt a strong threat.

Zayn’s presence was too strong. The staff in the store were still enchanted by Arthur's beautiful face. When they looked around, there was another flawless man with a powerful aura.

‘What day was this?! Why were there so many handsome men visiting their children's clothing store today?’

Zayn did not notice the staff’s eyes on him. Arthur’s bodyguards looked at Zayn warily, but Zayn ignored everyone and walked into the store.

Arthur's words made Lindsey's heart stir. Before she could speak, she suddenly looked towards the entrance as she sensed something, while Dezi, who was holding her hand, shouted in his baby voice, "Daddy!"

Dezi then let go of Lindsey's hand and pounced towards Zayn at once.

Zayn received the little guy that bounced into his arms. Usually, when he saw Dezi, he would unconsciously smile, but today, he did not smile and had such an oppressive aura.

Lindsey’s heart ached a little at the sight of Zayn’s face. She took a glance and withdrew her gaze.

Lindsey gestured to the still dumbstruck salesperson. “Please wrap this up for me, as well as that jacket earlier. Thanks.”

The salesperson looked at Zayn, then at Arthur. She then thought, ‘So they know each other...this woman is just so lucky to know so many handsome men...’

Arthur folded his arms and looked at Zayn, then his gaze landed on Dezi who was in Zayn’s arms. Displeasure flashed across his light brown eyes.

When Lindsey saw Zayn, she looked even more gloomy than when she saw Arthur, which inexplicably pleased Arthur and made him feel a kind of unexplained joy again.

Arthur had already investigated what was going on between Zayn and Lindsey. An unhappy married life eventually led to the divorce of these two people.

Lindsey acted as if she did not see Zayn. Although Zayn said this to Dezi, he did not intend to just let them leave like this.

She took Dezi over and did not look at the two strange men behind her before she turned around and left. Zayn looked at Arthur. In a split second, he followed after Lindsey.

Without a moment's hesitation, Arthur also followed.

Since Zayn knew that Arthur was ready to invest in Hemera, he would not just let it be. Arthur followed purely because he did not want Zayn to be alone with Lindsey again.

Arthur thought about the last time Lindsey suddenly cried like that in front of him. Although he was partially at fault, after investigating, he learned that before Lindsey met him, she was at the hospital.

‘Since Zayn had already hurt Lindsey so many times, it would be better for Zayn not to appear in front of her again,’ Arthur thought.

The staff behind them watched Lindsey leave with the two handsome men, whose temperament and looks were out of this world, following behind her. Their eyes dripped with envy.

Dezi was looking to the back. Lindsey could sense them following, so she quickened her footsteps. She really did not want to see Zayn at all.

When they were turning a corner that had fewer people around, Zayn caught up to Lindsey and grabbed her wrist. He said sternly, “Let’s talk.”

Lindsey came to her senses and shrugged away his hand in a smooth motion like he had some kind of infectious disease.
