Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 57

Some people in the cafe wanted to take pictures, but they were quickly stopped by Zayn's people.

Some of those cups were still steaming hot. Mr. Spencer was burning until he winced, but he did not dare to stop.

The cup of coffee Mr. Spencer splashed over Lindsey earlier was not that hot, but it was still warm.

Zayn leaned back in his chair with dull eyes and a cup of steaming coffee in his hand.

Mr. Spencer looked at him with fear in his eyes. Lindsey also did not expect Zayn to do this.

Was he avenging her?

However, from the time she came out of the bathroom, Zayn did not glance her way. That was when Lindsey realized that he was still mad at her about what she said earlier.

"Let’s just forget it." Lindsey tugged on Zayn's clothes lightly.

Quentin, who was standing next to Zayn, looked frightened. He had never seen his boss so angry. Although his face did not show it, this situation clearly angered him. Otherwise, Zayn would not teach this man a lesson in public.

Even Quentin did not dare to say a word. Ms. Juhl was truly courageous. She not only dared to plead for mercy, she even tugged on the President's clothes. Quentin secretly prayed for Lindsey and wished her good luck.

Zayn narrowed his eyes slightly and took a sip of the coffee in his hand. “You want to let it go?”

Lindsey looked at Mr. Spencer, who was crying miserably since she came out of the bathroom, and felt that this was more than enough. Seeing that Zayn had the intention of letting it go, Lindsey quickly nodded and said, "Yeah, let’s just let it go."

Mr. Spencer, who was on the ground begging for mercy, was so grateful that he said, "Ms. Juhl, I’m sorry. I didn’t know who you were. Thank you! Thank you, Ms. Juhl!"

Zayn stood up and dusted his sleeves as if there was dirt on them. He said, "Then I’ll listen to you and let this go." Zayn looked back at Lindsey with gentle eyes.

When Zayn looked at her like this, Lindsey’s heart skipped a beat.

Mr. Spencer fell to the ground and felt eternally grateful.

"Quentin, break both his arms and throw him on the streets." Just when everyone thought that this was the end of it, Zayn walked past Mr. Spencer while holding Lindsey's hand and coldly uttered these words.

Quentin was stunned, then hurriedly replied, "Yes, President."

Lindsey froze and looked at Zayn’s profile. "No..."

Zayn looked back at Lindsey and said calmly, word by word. "Another plea and I’ll break two more legs."

He even smiled and looked very different from how he was when he got mad in the past. Lindsey did not dare to say a word.

The entire cafe fell into a deafening silence, but no one dared to jump out and say that this was against the law. The man in front of them just had too strong a presence even if he just stood there.

Zayn shoved Lindsey into the car and got in himself.

He had brought his driver earlier, but he decided to drove himself and left his staff behind him.

Lindsey looked at the gloomy and scary man beside her and recalled what Sally Lenning told her earlier. "We were with Mr. Guggenheim earlier talking about a merger and acquisition case. We were ready to head back, but Mr. Guggenheim saw you being bullied by that pervert and asked the others to go back first, leaving only me and Mr. Quentin with him."

So, Zayn did not purposely find someone to humiliate her to make things difficult for her. He just unintentionally bumped into her and did not ignore her, but even came in to help her out.
