Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 511

While Ann was deep in thought, the driver had already stopped the car, so she looked up. The driver lowered his eyes and said, “Ms. Ann, we’ve arrived.”

This was the largest jewelry store in Atlantic City. Ann suddenly knew what Zayn’s surprise was and felt a surge of indescribable vanity.

Ann pushed the door open and got out of the car. Someone from the jewelry store immediately came forward and led her inside enthusiastically. "Mr. Guggenheim has ordered us to reserve our latest arrivals for your selection, Ms. Ann."

She smiled and did not say anything. The manager of the jewelry store who received her added with a smile, "Mr. Guggenheim is really good to you."

With a perfect smile on her face, Ann complained softly, "He's busy with work every day and doesn't accompany me here, so these are just perfunctory."

The manager looked envious, but in his heart, he thought sarcastically, ‘Which man could afford all these jewelry just to be perfunctory to a woman? Plus, no woman could resist the sight of sparkling jewelry, and Ann is certainly no exception…’

Quentin let out a sigh of relief. ‘Task completed! At least Ann is finally gone now.’

Zayn, who was allegedly in a meeting until 9:00 pm, walked out of the Denarius office before the end of the workday. The driver tacitly drove the car to the lobby of Hemera, just in time to see Lindsey walking out of the building.

However, unlike previous times, Lindsey did not drive her own car today. She stood by the side of the road and waited for a while. It did not take long for a white Porsche to stop in front of Lindsey and the car window rolled down to reveal Shaun’s face.

Lindsey smiled and said something to Shaun, then pulled open the car door and sat inside. At that moment, the driver suddenly felt that the car’s heating was not warm enough because he felt a sudden chill from the back of his neck.

They tailed Shaun’s car to Dezi’s kindergarten, then to Opal Suites, and watched as the three of them went upstairs together like a happy little family. Zayn watched them unblinkingly. Although he did not say a word, the driver felt scared.

The good thing was that Shaun came back down soon after sending them upstairs.

The driver then let out a silent breath of relief.

Zayn did not say anything about Lindsey working in Hemera, but he would always follow Lindsey quietly after work. Occasionally when he saw Shaun, he would get annoyed.

Compared to his previous behavior, Zayn was a complete creep. A normal person definitely would not be able to sneak around and stalk someone daily.

However, even if the driver thought so, he did not dare to say or ask anything.

Lindsey was not aware that she had a “guardian angel” following her home after work every day. Her car was sent to the service center today, so Shaun just gave her a lift.

As Christmas approached, Lindsey got busier. Sometimes, she would work late at the office, so she had to ask Mrs. Wendy to pick Dezi up from school.

Her busy schedule was not unrewarded. Initially, her subordinates in this project had a lot of unwarranted opinions about Lindsey, but after witnessing Lindsey's efforts, they gradually stopped doubting her ability.

Christmas Day arrived in the blink of an eye.

Atlantic City had begun to warm up for Christmas as early as half a month ago. After the hype of Christmas Eve, everyone in the city was celebrating Christmas in full swing.

Hemera's new product launch was held on the morning of Christmas Day. Lindsey arrived two hours before the launch at The Shiraz, where it would be held.

At 11:00 am, the launch officially began.

It was almost 11:00 am. Lindsey settled down and reassured Emory, "There’s nothing we can do now. We’ll just have to see who among us is more competitive. Be confident and have some faith in us."

After saying that, Lindsey turned towards the stage as it was her turn to go on stage.

Today's launch was open to the public. Hemera bought an hour of advertising time on the advertising screen outside The Shiraz, which would be broadcasting Lindsey’s speech and the product launch live. Her product launch would also be broadcasted on all the advertising screens inside The Shiraz for that hour.

Lindsey stopped thinking about Denarius for the time being and briefly introduced what the differences were between this new product and the previous models.

Having rehearsed the content countless times, Lindsey stood up on the stage with confidence and grace. She looked even more beautiful in formal attire under the spotlight.

While Quentin was ordering his staff to place the new products on the side, he sneaked a glance at Zayn, who was sitting on a bench staring unblinkingly at one of the advertising screens in the mall.

Quentin lamented in his heart for the millionth time. ‘Why bother?’

The product launch went on for about an hour before Lindsey came down from the stage, only to find her entire team looking at her apprehensively.

"Ms. Juhl..." The young assistant wanted to say something, but she could not bring herself to say it.

After standing in high heels for over an hour, Lindsey’s ankles felt a little tired. "What's wrong?"

"No one is buying our products," the assistant said aggrievedly.
