Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 5

Lindsey Juhl did not know when it stopped, only that she almost passed out afterward.

The clothes on Zayn Guggenheim's body stayed on until the end, as if what had just happened was just another task to be completed.

After the deed was done, he rolled out of bed to leave.

The door of the room creaked a few times as he tried twisting the doorknob to open it. After a few frustrating tries, he knew it was locked from the outside. Zayn fiercely kicked the door and returned to the bed.

"Stay away from me!"

This was the last thing Zayn said to her.

When Lindsey woke up the next day, it was bright outside and the bed was empty.

She moved her body slightly.

"Young Madam, are you awake? Old Master is waiting for you to have breakfast."

Mrs. Lane's voice came from outside the door. Lindsey quickly responded and forced herself to get up and wash up.

After changing into clean clothes, she went downstairs to see Grandpa sitting alone at the dining table. Besides the prepared breakfast for her, there was an untouched set of cutlery on the table.

Lindsey’s eyes sank.

Zayn was truly frustrated this time and had shown his temper to the old man, unwilling to eat breakfast together.

"Lindsey, you’re up? Come and eat."

When the old man heard some movement, he beckoned her with a loving face.

Lindsey smiled, braced herself, and walked towards the table. She ate breakfast with her mind full of thoughts.

All she felt was exhaustion, but she could see that the old man was obviously in a good mood.

"Lindsey, I know you're a good kid and Zayn was the one who wronged you all these years. But don't worry, since you both are a couple, I'll never let him go on like this!"

Lindsey recalled what Zayn said to her last night and could not help but smile bitterly. She tried her best to respond politely.

"I have told him that he should sleep at home every day. How can a married couple not live together?"
