Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 437

Familiarity, hatred, and hostility were the biggest impression Ann left on Lindsey.

This was far beyond just being business rivals.

Lindsey could only attribute it to the fact that Ann knew her in the past and she had a deep grudge for her. Otherwise, all of this did not make sense.

Soren had been gone for nearly one month but had not found anything useful.

Lindsey was confident in his ability. If Soren had no clue, then Ann's background must be very hidden.

"Do you still remember Allie Wilford?" Lindsey suddenly frowned and asked Soren.

Soren's hand that was holding the glass paused for a second before he nodded. "Yes, I remember. Madam, why did you suddenly mention her?"

Soren put down the glass and lowered his eyes so Lindsey could not see his suppressed emotions. She just said, "Zayn told me that Allie disappeared since Liam's accident. I have a feeling that Ann is like Allie, but she’s a lot scarier than Allie."

"Madam, how did you get this feeling?" Soren looked at her with some curiosity.

Lindsey laughed. "I don’t know either. It's just a very strange feeling. Women's intuition can sometimes be very weird. It might just be an illusion. Allie’s not that ruthless. Moreover, you mentioned that she was caught in a fire and had plastic surgery. I don’t think that ever happened to Allie."

Watching Lindsey deny her suspicions, Soren felt inexplicably relieved.

This was the purpose of his trip. Now that he finished his report, he took his leave. Before he left, Lindsey stopped him and said, "Wait, I have something for you."

Soren held Sieben’s hand. Before he had time to ask what it was, Lindsey ran upstairs and ran back down a few minutes later.

"These are Sieben’s examination results when you weren’t around. She’s slowly getting better. Last time, I told you over the phone that Sieben's situation may be a little more complicated than we thought, she..."

Lindsey frowned as she tried to find words to describe it. “She would sometimes return to her previous state, but she wouldn’t remember anything. I’ve already asked Shaun to get some reputable neurologists, so we still have hope.” When she finished, she patted Soren's shoulder.

Soren looked at the stack of information handed to him and a faint smile appeared on his usually expressionless face. "Thank you, Madam."

Sieben leaned on Soren lazily and looked sleepy. She even let out a small yawn.

Lindsey pinched Sieben’s nose. "Well, now that Sorie is back, you don't need me to sleep with you tonight. Go home."

"I want Lindsey!" Sieben looked puzzled. "I want both Lindsey and Sorie."

Lindsey firmly rejected her offer and sent them away.

She was still clueless, but Zayn and Ann’s scandal had been dominating the tabloids in the past few days.

Lindsey tried every possible way to see Zayn but to no avail. The next day after she returned home, Zayn got someone to send another divorce agreement to her.

After putting Dezi to sleep at night, Lindsey walked to the window with her phone and thought about it before calling Yvette.

Lindsey had to do something. She could not be passive anymore.

The week flew by and it was already Sunday at the Wendell mansion.

Callum held a glass of wine in his hand. When he saw Zayn's figure from afar, he hurriedly left his other guests and welcomed Zayn.

"Mr. Guggenheim, it’s only been a few days since I’ve seen you, yet you somehow became more handsome again." Callum was smiling brightly, which was in stark contrast to Zayn's gloomy face.

Zayn's lips twitched. "Thanks, I’m more handsome than you, that’s for sure."

"The door’s right behind you. Mr. Guggenheim, please close it on your way out." The smile on Callum's face remained unchanged as he gestured towards the door.

Zayn ignored him and took a glass of wine from the waiter. He then walked into the lobby of the mansion.

Although Denarius was temporarily seized, Zayn’s vibes and the impact he had at any cocktail parties were completely different from Lindsey’s. Others would not really care about Lindsey, but when they saw Zayn, they were more respectful.

"Mr. Guggenheim." These two short words came from a soft and seductive voice.

Zayn turned around when he heard the voice and raised his glass at the person with indifference.

The main characters of the recent tabloids gathered together. For a while, everyone cast curious glances towards Zayn and Ann.

"Oops." Suddenly, an untimely sound came from behind him. Zayn felt a gentle push on his back and a cold sensation of liquid being spilled on his body.
