Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 428

Thus, when Zayn returned to the hotel, he saw Lindsey and Shaun sitting opposite each other, waiting for him in the living room of his hotel suite.

Zayn looked back at Quentin, but Quentin was nowhere to be found.

He coldly snorted and quietly noted this grudge against Quentin in his heart. He closed the door and did not glance at Shaun. He just looked at Lindsey and said, “Did you sign it? Let me see."

After he said that, he took off his suit jacket and loosened his tie.

The anger Lindsey suppressed from last night surged up again because of his words.

"Zayn Guggenheim! That’s enough!" Lindsey suddenly stood up. “There are no outsiders here, so just tell me what you’re trying to do!”

Lindsey frowned. She used to look at Zayn with a deep fondness and affection or with a bright smile, but she looked different at this moment.

Zayn paused in his movements. For the first time since entering the door, he looked at the two of them squarely. He looked at Lindsey meaningfully and glanced at Shaun. "No outsiders? That’s probably only true for you, right?"

The sarcasm and insult in his tone were simply too obvious.

Shaun wanted to wait for them to finish speaking, but he could not help it when he heard these words and stared at Zayn aggressively. "Zayn Guggenheim! What do you mean by that?"

"What do I mean? I wanted to ask you both this..." The corner of Zayn's lips hooked up to a somewhat sinister smile. "In just half a month, my wife is seen going everywhere with you. Shaun Juhl, you’re really something!"

As he said that, Zayn felt that those words were not enough and even clapped for them.

Lindsey did not expect Zayn to say such words in front of them and shook with anger. Just when she was about to say something, Shaun, who was sitting opposite her, stood up and punched Zayn in the face.

"Bastard! How can you say this? I really misjudged you!"

Shaun did not feel relieved after that punch, so he punched Zayn several more times in the face. "Did you lose your f*cking mind while you’re locked up? Do you know how hard it’s been for Lindsey during this period? You even have the guts to insult her?!"

He wanted to curse at Zayn, but he did not say much and only hit him a little harder.

The two men had fought several times before. Each time, they were both on par. Shaun was prepared for Zayn to fight back like before and used all his strength in hopes of punching some sense into Zayn.

To their surprise, Zayn did not dodge, nor did he fight back.

Lindsey watched from the side. Although she was furious, she could not help but feel heartbroken and finally stopped Shaun.

"Brother, stop it. Just forget it."

She pulled Shaun's arm away from Zayn and went up to see Zayn’s injuries. "Are you okay?"

Zayn was accustomed to reaching out and pulling Lindsey into his arms as she approached, but as he reached out, he paused midair, then pushed her away. His expression was cold as he yelled, "Don't come near me! Since you’re so lovey-dovey defending each other right in front of me. Why don't you hurry up and sign the divorce papers? I’m letting you go so you both can be together, then everyone can move on."

He even gave her a pen. "Here."

Lindsey lowered her head and looked at his signature in black ink. She then looked at the pen in his hand. She took over the divorce agreement and pen.

She looked up at Zayn. Her tears were about to gush out as she threw those items on the floor. “I’m not signing it! Never! Zayn, I don’t care what you’ve planned. I will never sign it!"

After saying that, her tears abruptly slid down her cheek. Lindsey raised her hand and wiped it away, then looked at Zayn with a deep gaze.

"If you don't want to go home, then just stay here." Lindsey took a look around. "It's quite nice here."

Zayn remained motionless as he looked at her. His face had become a little red and swollen from Shaun’s punches, so he did not look handsome anymore and even a little comical.

After staring at her for a while, he suddenly turned around and walked towards the bedroom as he said, "Whether you sign it or not, I’m getting a divorce. I’m going to rest. You two can make yourselves comfortable."

The door to the bedroom slammed shut and Lindsey squatted down as she put her arms around her legs.

Shaun thought that she was crying and hurriedly tried to pull her up. "Don't cry, Linds. I think he's out of his mind."

"I'm not crying." Lindsey lifted her head and even smiled at Shaun.
