Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 399

Zayn and Lindsey wanted to take the opportunity to formally introduce Dezi to the outside world and to acknowledge Dezi's identity in front of everyone.

In fact, it was not necessary to do this because it was already self-evident when Lindsey and Zayn brought Little Dezi with them.

After the ordeal, Lindsey was exhausted.

When she went home in the evening, Lindsey leaned on Zayn's shoulder and muttered, "Actually, you don't have to be in such a hurry. We can wait."

She did not lift her head, so she could not see Zayn’s heavy expression. His voice sounded normal as he said, “I just feel more at ease to get it done earlier.”

Lindsey tickled his palm and jokingly asked, "What is there to be uneasy about?"

Zayn was solemn for a while and did not speak. Instead, he changed the subject. "I may be busy during this period. I’ve already enrolled Dezi in school. It might be hard for him to adapt during this period, so you’ll have to accompany him."

As he said this, he lowered his head to kiss Lindsey’s head. He actually did not want to trouble Lindsey, but Dezi needed someone he trusted to accompany him. Otherwise, he might throw a tantrum and Lindsey would certainly not feel at ease.

Lindsey sat up all of a sudden. "School?"

"Mm. Most kids his age almost graduated kindergarten."

Lindsey hesitated for a long time. "But..."

"I know what you want to say." Zayn interrupted her and pulled her into his arms. "Sooner or later, he’ll have to go. He has to learn to get along with other children and we can't keep treating him like he’s sick. He's a healthy child. He just can't talk for now."

Lindsey had to admit that Zayn had a point. Sometimes, being overprotective could be detrimental to the child.

Little Dezi sat on the side playing with his toy. He did not know what school meant yet and he would only look up at them when he heard Lindsey saying his name. Seeing that nothing was going on, his attention would quickly return to his toy.

Lindsey looked at him with a gentle gaze. Just as Zayn said, most children his age had almost graduated from kindergarten, but Little Dezi did not even know what kindergarten was.

At night, Zayn stayed in the study for a long time and came out with a tired face, but he saw Lindsey sitting on the bed waiting for him.

"Didn't I tell you not to wait for me and go to bed early?" Zayn looked at her with some reproach, but he was just concerned.

Lindsey ignored his words. She did not want to say that she could not sleep until Zayn came back, so she reached out and pushed him. "Go wash up. I'll sleep once you come to bed."

When Zayn came out drying his hair, the book in Lindsey's hand was about to fall out. Zayn put it away for her gently, but Lindsey still felt it and opened her eyes.

"You’re done? Come up." Lindsey lifted the quilt and laid down herself.

Her eyes were clearly sleepy. Once Zayn laid down, Lindsey automatically rolled into his arms.

"Zayn, how serious is the issue at the office? Can you tell me about it?" Lindsey hugged his waist and sniffed the smell of Zayn's refreshing shower gel. She suddenly felt awake.

Zayn kissed her on the lips and said, "Get up for breakfast."

Lindsey opened her eyes in a daze but saw Zayn and Dezi staring back at her.

"You’re not busy today?" Lindsey was worried about Denarius. After all, that was the hard work of three generations of the Guggenheim family.

Zayn pinched her nose. "Nope. As the boss, I have the right to enjoy the weekend. Get up."

Lindsey still had some doubts in her heart. Denarius' crisis should not be gone so easily. She always felt that S.P. Corporation was targeting Denarius.

However, her doubts were soon answered when Shaun suddenly came to the Guggenheim mansion at noon.

It had been more than two months since they last met. Shaun looked much better than before. When he met Dezi, he handed the toy to Dezi and pretended to be aggrieved. "Since you accepted my gift, can you give Uncle a hug?"

In the next second, Dezi pushed the gift back to him again.

Shaun did not know whether to laugh or cry. Even Lindsey was impressed with Dezi’s strong will.

However, Shaun's purpose was not just to visit Lindsey and Dezi. He talked to Lindsey for a while before he went to the study with Zayn. The two men did not come out until the afternoon and neither of them looked pleased.

Lindsey wanted to ask Shaun to stay for dinner, but Shaun politely refused. Before leaving, Lindsey could not help but secretly ask Shaun if something had happened.
