Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 351

They were far apart, so they did not hear what Liam whispered to Sophie when he put his head on her forehead. "You want me to live happily, but I won’t, because you didn’t do what you promised me."

Some people could only love one person in their lifetime and would follow them in life and death.

The yacht's cabin.

All kinds of drugs and surgical instruments were quickly brought over. Fortunately, this was originally the operating room Liam had prepared, so all the equipment they needed was available.

Zayn looked at Lindsey unblinkingly, as if he wanted to make up for all their lost time.

"Mr. Guggenheim! Mr. Guggenheim..." The doctor beside Zayn called him many times before Zayn snapped back to his senses.

"What's wrong?" His voice was extremely cold.

The doctor froze for a second before he hurriedly said, "Mrs. Guggenheim's situation is a little complicated."

He paused slightly in the middle of his sentence and looked reluctant to deliver the news. In the end, he finished the rest of his words in one breath. "It may be necessary to forcibly terminate the pregnancy. Otherwise, both Mrs. Guggenheim and the child can’t survive."

After the doctor said this, he saw Zayn standing frozen in place in front of him. After a few seconds, Zayn looked at the doctor with frosty eyes and asked word for word, "What did you say?"

It was not that Zayn did not hear the doctor clearly, he just could not accept it.

Terminate the pregnancy?

"How will you terminate the pregnancy?" Zayn suddenly stepped forward and grabbed the doctor by the collar. "What are you talking about? Do you know what you're saying?"

Zayn gritted his teeth and his eyes were wide open. He looked incredibly fierce. "That's my child! What do you want to do?! Do you not know how to save them? Get the hell out! Get another doctor!"

With that, Zayn violently let go of his hand and walked to the door to ask Soren to find a new doctor.

The doctor was shocked by Zayn’s reaction earlier, but he remembered that human lives were at stake, so he said with a slight tremor in his voice, "Mr. Guggenheim, this is the only way. Your wife hasn’t been in the right mental state, which has already affected the child's development. Moreover, she experienced shock and strenuous activity. Now, there’s no way to save the baby. You have to make a decision quickly because the patient's condition is critical now."

Zayn heard this and stopped in his tracks. He turned his head to look at the doctor. In a few seconds, his eyes were already red.

Only then did he remember that this doctor was the best obstetrician and gynecologist in the whole of Germany.

This time, Zayn looked like he was pleading. "Really? There's no other way?"

His voice was a little choked up. The doctor was reluctant to come to this conclusion, but this was really the only way now.

"The patient is awake!" The nurse next to him suddenly shouted.

The doctor only felt a gust of wind before him, then he saw Zayn reaching out to hold Lindsey's hand.

"Lindsey..." Zayn's voice trembled and his eyes seemed even redder than they had been earlier.

Lindsey's eyelashes moved and she opened a small slit in her eyes. This tiny action already consumed a lot of her strength. "Zayn?"

"Yeah, I’m here." Zayn took Lindsey's hand and pressed it to his face. "Can you hear me?"

"Mm." Lindsey's voice was minute like she somehow squeezed it out of her throat. Then, Zayn felt her hand that he was holding suddenly clutching him back.

Only then did Zayn turn his head. When his gaze landed on Lindsey's already flattened-out belly, he suddenly blinked hard as if he had been pricked by a needle.

"Is it over?" Zayn asked in a soft voice.

The redness in his eyes had faded, but he was exuding gloom and a bone-chilling coldness on his face.

The doctor nodded. "Yes."

Zayn looked at Lindsey's face for a moment before he suddenly asked, "Where is the child?"

The doctor was stunned. The nurse next to him reacted and gently pointed to the tray on the side. "Here."

The nurse had covered the piece of bloody flesh with a large piece of gauze she found. It was like some kind of ceremony, the last bit of human respect and decency given to this little angel that had not yet been born.

"Let me see." Zayn's voice was cold, but this time, they could hear the pain in his voice.

The nurse's fingers trembled. She did not expect Zayn to ask to see the fetus. She looked at him and noticed the seriousness in his eyes.

"Mr. Guggenheim, why don't we just let it be." The doctor advised Zayn from the side.

Zayn did not say anything. He just stepped forward and lifted the gauze to reveal what was underneath.

The fetus had already taken on a human form. The bloody mass looked a bit gruesome, but Zayn did not feel scared or disgusted. Instead, his eyes were filled with self-reproach and regret.
