Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 349

"Liam, all this time I've only been holding on because of you..." The injury on her back suddenly turned into a painful stimulus to her nerves, making her voice tremble. "I’ve been holding on because you said you want us to be together forever, but now I know that it’s impossible. I wanna live for myself one last time. Liam, I don't want to be your burden anymore..."

Liam had been staring at her, and at that moment, his eyes suddenly widened as he shouted, "No!"

Before he finished speaking, he had already rushed over, but he was still too late. Sophie held the scalpel and stabbed it into her chest with resolution.

Liam was only half a meter away from her, but he was one step behind.

Red blotches bloomed in front of Sophie's chest, like her favorite roses, bright and bold.

"Sophie!"

Liam roared in pain. He caught Sophie before she slid to the ground and he trembled violently.

He stretched out his hand and gently placed it on Sophie’s face. He did not even dare to exert any force. "Sophie..."

Sophie coughed and could taste the blood in her throat. She trembled and reached out her hand, which was held by Liam mid-air.

There was a flash of dangerous light in Liam’s eyes. "Sophie, you'll be okay...Doctor! Hurry up! Save her! You’ll be fine...you’ll be fine..."

He was incoherent, overwhelmed, and in panic.

Sophie felt his tears falling on her face and reached out to cup Liam's face. "Liam, don't cry..."

Her voice was weak and her hand was tightly clutched by Liam. "Shh...don't talk...you'll be okay...I'll get them to operate on you now. We can still replace your heart. Yes, just like that."

"Liam!" Sophie suddenly called out to him with force. She looked anguished. "Promise me you won't make any more mistakes."

Sophie could smell the blood on her body. It reeked and Liam definitely would not like it.

Due to her words, the few drops of tears in Liam's eyes became a constant stream of tears that fell on Sophie’s face.

Sophie gently lifted her head and pressed her lips onto Liam’s. "Liam, I’ll kiss you, so don't cry, okay?"

After saying that, she planted a warm and moist kiss on Liam’s lips.

"Don't...don't blame anyone and...live happily…I...love...you..."

Sophie’s hand on his face fell gently, and in a flash, Liam's world turned black and white.

The light in Liam's eyes disappeared as he hugged her body tighter. Their lips were still close together. Liam gently kissed her over and over again. "I love you too."

"One kiss is not enough. Can you give me one more kiss?"

The girl in his arms had a faint smile on her lips, but her eyes were tightly closed and she could no longer hear what he said.

It was also impossible to go back in time to ten years ago, when Sophie gently tugged at his sleeves and whined, "Liam, I’ll kiss you, so don’t be sad, okay?"

The medical team was slightly stunned. After they understood what Liam meant, they looked puzzled.

Anyone with a little medical knowledge knew that Lindsey's current condition was fatal and needed urgent treatment.

The blood under Lindsey’s body had gradually solidified and turned into a dark-brown color, but it did not mean that she was in the clear.

"Look, if you wanted me to do something, you should’ve watched me do it yourself. Without you, I won't do a single thing you want me to. Are you angry? Sophie, are you mad at me? Get up and scold me then! Why don't you wake up and scold me?"

Liam looked at Sophie unblinkingly as he rambled on crazily. No one around him dared to speak seeing him like this.

At this moment, the sound of the propeller turning at high speed broke the dead silence.

This sound was getting louder and soon, a helicopter appeared in the sky above their heads.

Everyone on the yacht, aside from Liam, had some panic on their faces and they all looked at Lindsey in unison.

Several doctors looked torn. It seemed that they all knew who those people were coming for. If those people saw Lindsey in this condition, no one knew how they would react.

Liam was the only one who looked outside. He held Sophie’s body and strode out of the cabin.

It was pitch black outside without a trace of moonlight and it seemed that this darkness engulfed the whole world.
