Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 329

After sitting on the wheelchair, Zayn's eyebrows relaxed slightly. Allie wanted to come up to help him push his wheelchair, but she was scared into retreat by his look.

Zayn sat basking in the sunlight with his eyes slightly squinted. He looked very comfortable and the iciness on his face seemed to melt a little.

"Do you have a mirror? I want to take a look at myself," Zayn sat for a moment and suddenly spoke.

This time, his tone was kinder, which made Allie delighted. She hurriedly got out a small mirror from her purse and handed it to Zayn.

The mirror was round and palm-sized. It was the kind of compact mirror that girls usually used to fix their makeup.

Zayn took it and looked at his own face. He then fumbled with it as he examined it.

When Allie left, Zayn was lying on the hospital bed, but he was still holding the small mirror in his hand. "Can I keep it?"

The way he asked this was his most gentle attitude towards Allie these few days.

Of course, Allie agreed. It was just a compact mirror after all. Due to this little episode, Allie left in a bright mood.

Over the next few days, Zayn would sit by the window to sunbathe for a while every noon. When he was sunbathing, he would always hold the mirror in his hand.

Allie felt satisfied that the man she liked was holding her personal item every day. On the other hand, Allie also paid close attention to what was going on at Lindsey's side.

The Wilfords’ maids treated Allie like Liam and told her everything.

Due to Sophie's sudden heart attack that night, all of the maids in the villa were called up in the middle of the night.

No one knew what happened, but Allie, as the one who wanted Sophie to find out about Lindsey's existence from the beginning, naturally connected the dots.

Allie just did not know whether Sophie thought Lindsey was Liam's mistress or whether she found out the truth. She thought, ‘No matter what, it’ll be interesting.’

She wanted everyone who hurt her to suffer and she wanted to take back all those things that were stolen from her.

Lindsey did not know what happened after that night. She only heard Andre mention that Sophie's condition was becoming more unstable.

This meant that Lindsey might just lie down next to Sophie on the operating table at any moment.

Andre looked at Lindsey's stoic side profile and suddenly said, "Ms. Juhl, you really don't look like someone who is facing this kind of thing."

Lindsey laughed lightly. "What should I look like then? Cry and make noise every day? Or should I try to hang myself?"

Andre shook his head and gave Lindsey a thumbs up. "I just think you’re too calm."

"What else can I do if I'm not calm? Will Liam Wilford let me go?" Lindsey asked rhetorically.

When Lindsey saw Andre taking out a box of vaccines, her eyes turned cold. "What are these for?"

"For your baby’s health," Andre replied smoothly.

"No, Andre." Lindsey suddenly stood up. "I think my baby’s doing fine these days, so there’s no need for these injections."

Lindsey looked at the vaccine warily. Andre was at a loss of what to do. He moved his hands, but finally, he dropped them feebly and asked the nurse who came with him to leave the room first.

"Okay." Sophie obediently held Liam’s hand and walked outside with him.

When Liam was not watching her, the smile on Sophie's face gradually faded away and the curve of her lips became a grimace.

"I may have some things to deal with tomorrow night, so I’ll be back late. You should go to bed early and don’t wait for me." Liam turned back towards Sophie as he walked.

Before Sophie lifted her head, she first put on her customary smile that was bright and cheery. "Okay, don't worry about me and just do whatever you need to."

"Mm." When Liam heard her answer, he felt at ease.

Sophie hid her emotions well. She looked at their intertwined fingers and silently said in her heart, "Liam, I'm sorry."

A small plan quietly took shape in Sophie's mind.

......

The doctor used the best medicine for Zayn and gave him the best care, so within a few days, Zayn was able to get up and walk around on his own with some difficulty.

When Allie saw how quickly Zayn recovered, she was surprised, but at the same time, she felt vaguely uneasy.

"I'll arrange for someone to transfer you to a new place tomorrow," Allie said decisively and it was not up for discussion.

Allie could not wait for Zayn to completely recover before executing her plan. By then, Zayn alone would already give her a massive headache.
