Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 247

The person on the carriage had glimmering eyes and the haziness in her eyes brought a youthfulness. Coupled with her seductive dress, her pure charm was so natural and alluring.

The surrounding lights were constantly changing colors, which made the woman in the carriage appear more attractive.

Her exposed legs were slim and long, and her face was stunning.

Lindsey had no strength and could not even utter a word. At that moment, she was leaning against the cage. Her sluggishness in this environment triggered the audience’s fancy.

The two people next to Shaun were already beginning to regret that they had made their choice.

"This is the most worthy of them all. Even if I have to spend more money, I must get my hands on her!" Mr. Jensen's eyes were glued to Lindsey's body on the stage.

Suddenly, he thought of something and turned to look at Shaun. "Shaun, you didn’t choose earlier, right? Honestly, did you know that there was such a great beauty coming out later?"

The greed in his eyes was undisguised. Shaun ignored Mr. Jensen because he was only thinking how Lindsey would end up here and even dressed up in this manner.

"Shaun, I’ll chip in half. We’ll bid on her, then...you know...heh..."

Another person also came over and hurriedly said, "Count me in too!"

They were both Presidents of listed companies with a market value of several billion dollars, but in private, they were this nasty.

However, their words reminded Shaun that no matter what, he must rescue Lindsey.

There were obviously more than one or two people interested in Lindsey, and Shaun had already heard a few others behind him regretting their previous choices.

The host's voice sounded right when he moved slightly, half-covering Lindsey behind him. "Alright, everyone! This is our final angel. There were a total of four gentlemen who didn't make a choice just now. These four gentlemen will now bid for this angel."

The so-called bidding rules were very simple. In the first round of bidding, the lowest bidder would be eliminated, while the rest would continue to bid. After that, they would bid until there were only two people left, and the highest bidder would win.

Since there were only four of them, it would only take two rounds.

Lindsey understood her situation by now and her eyes were fearful. "No..."

However, her voice was too small and no one could hear her. The people below were looking forward to the next bidding. Shaun was the only one who kept watching her. Seeing the panic on Lindsey's face, he became furious.

"Alright! Let's start the first round of bidding."

"Wait!" Shaun suddenly stood up.

The host first froze, then there was a small crack in his fake smile, but it was quickly replaced by great interest. "Sir, do you have anything to say?"

Lindsey watched in amazement as the man walked up to the stage step by step from his seat below.

It was a familiar figure, a familiar walking posture, and those familiar eyes...

"Brother..." Lindsey called out in a small voice.

After the host said this, there was a moment of pure silence below, followed by an outburst of arguments.

"Over one billion dollars for a woman? Who’s so crazy?!"

The host was delighted, but Shaun glared at the host.

"Sir." The host first said a few pleasing words, then turned to Shaun and said, "Unfortunately, it's not you."

"Ha!" Shaun sneered. He bid one billion dollars, and this Mr. Gordon happened to bid just 10 million dollars more than him. Shaun would never believe such a coincidence.

"Who is Mr. Gordon? Will you please come forward?" Shaun scanned the guests below. They were all wearing masks on their faces, but when they heard his words, no one moved.

"Where is this Mr. Gordon?" Shaun stared at the host and said word by word. The host grinned and said, "He’s not willing to show his face, so please don’t force it, sir. Since this is the outcome, please accept it and leave."

After saying that, several men with sunglasses suddenly appeared behind the host. "Sir, since you don’t want to comply with our rules, we’ll just have to enforce it on you."

There was clearly something fishy going on because they just did not want Shaun to take Lindsey away.

Shaun’s eyes got colder as he glared at the approaching people. He then whispered to Lindsey who was behind him, "Don't be afraid."

Lindsey shook her head and looked anguished. She also understood the situation. Her voice was still weak but insistent. "Brother, just leave first. Go find Zayn and tell him to find a way to save me. Don't let them hurt you."

Shaun stared closely at the people approaching him and smiled bitterly. The current situation was not something he could get out of just because he wanted to.
