Soren could not kick Sieben out nor beat her up. She was like a bubblegum that stuck herself to him.
He had never felt this much of a headache even when treating the most vicious of drug dealers.
Across the phone, Soren could hear Sieben’s crying and screaming.
He wearily rubbed his brow and said to the other side, "Give her the phone."
Soon, a soft and clear female voice sounded, "Hello."
Surprisingly, she even sounded a little obedient.
Soren, however, did not let this soften his heart and asked in a cold voice, "What do you want? What’s your motive?"
He spoke with a somewhat grumpy voice, which made Sieben scrunch up her nose. "I just want to follow you. Who asked you to leave me here?"
"I'm not your father, so why do I have to take you wherever I go? You..." Soren rudely retorted, but he paused mid-sentence.
Soren wanted to say that she should go home, but he suddenly recalled that this girl did not have a home to go back to. She entered the country illegally and if he sent her back to Germany, she would be dead if Smith found her.
Sieben heard his words and was silent for a moment. Suddenly, she burst out crying, "Why are you so fierce?"
Soren had never heard such loud cries in his life.
He only felt distressed.
Someone over there picked up the phone in Sieben's hand and said bitterly, "Boss, what should we do?"
Soren thought, ‘How the hell would I know?’
He could hear the girl's loud cries in the background and abruptly hung up.
Soren lived alone in a small attic on the outskirts of the Guggenheim mansion so that he could move quickly and react to any movement in the mansion.
There were probably dozens of people around who protected Lindsey like he did and more than twenty who patrolled the mansion at night.
He rubbed his brow and his sleepiness was gone. He felt that he had picked up a big problem for himself.
Soren punched the bed with force, then connected all the surveillance recordings of the mansion to the device on his wrist and hurried back.
The next morning, Lindsey just got up and stood on the balcony when she saw Soren coming in from the front door.
However, Lindsey frowned. Something seemed to be attached to Soren's car.
Then, Lindsey saw a living person come out from underneath the car.
She opened her mouth wide, but was so flustered that she shouted in Soren’s direction, "Watch out! There's someone under the car!"
Soren was first startled when he heard her voice, then his keen intuition made him backhand the approaching person and the tiny blade between his fingers was pressed against the person’s neck.
"It's me! It's me!" Sieben shouted. The pressure Soren exerted abruptly faded.
However, the darkness in his eyes did not change. Instead, his expression became more stern.
"Why did you follow me here?!"
Hearing the harshness in his voice, Sieben did not cry this time. She also did not look scared with a knife held against her neck. "I told you that I just want to follow you, but you don’t believe me."
"Soren, let her go first. She saved me before."
Lindsey opened her mouth and her words startled everyone. The surrounding bodyguards and maids who had rushed over were all unsure.
Soren, however, did not let down his guard. Although he did not know what went on between them, he still said dutifully, "She was brought out from Liam Wilford's house, so she might be one of his people. I’m worried that she might hurt you, Madam."
Once he said that, the girl's disdainful voice sounded, "Hmph! I’d rather starve to death than work for Liam Wilford!"
"How did you get brought back by them?" Lindsey asked Sieben carefully.
"Smith, you know him, right? He’s after me and I had no choice, so I followed them here." Sieben said as she sized Lindsey up and smiled. "You look much better than you were a year ago."
Lindsey laughed. "You still haven't changed one bit."
Smith was indeed looking for someone other than David, which Soren knew all too well. However, the strangest thing was that Smith was openly searching for David, but secretly, he had been inquiring about Sieben. He even sent more men to look for her.
Besides her background, every aspect of this girl was very suspicious.
Lindsey was not as nervous because Liam would not kill her. She knew this better than anyone. "Bring her in first."
Soren could not disobey Lindsey’s words because she was equivalent to Zayn. He asked someone to get some rope and tied Sieben tightly.
This way, unless Sieben had a concealed weapon in her mouth, she would never be able to hurt Lindsey.
Sieben let him tie her up and was finally brought to the living room.
"I escaped from Liam’s villa once back then. When I passed by the little dark alley and was about to be caught, she was the one who helped me."
