Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 22

Lindsey Juhl remembered when she used to look at Zayn Guggenheim with affection, but time and time again, all she got in return was his hatred.

She was no longer the same Lindsey from before.

"Fine! That’s great!"

Zayn was so angry that he gritted his teeth. His face was already as cold as an iceberg, but at this moment, it even exuded an unapproachable aura.

"I'll go back to my room first if you have nothing else."

Without any extra interactions, Zayn saw her ruthlessness and indifference and had an indescribable feeling in his heart.

He suddenly recalled what he asked Jenny Lenig earlier, and her words kept echoing in his ears.

The thought that this woman loathed him and was unwilling to say another word to him made Zayn inexplicably irritated.

After a long day at work, Lindsey felt exhausted. There were too many things she could not cope with and all she wanted was a good rest.

After she took a shower and came out of the bathroom, she was startled when she saw the person by the bed.

"Do you need anything?"

Suppressing the panic in her heart, Lindsey pretended as if nothing was wrong.

"You’re my legitimate wife. Do I need a reason to come into your room?"

Zayn was upset, but he was unaware of how different the words he uttered were from how he used to say them.

"Don't worry, I won't pester you anymore. Bring me the divorce papers and I’ll set you free."

Lindsey thought that Zayn was agreeing to the divorce, that was why she said such words.

‘Divorce?! Divorce again!’

‘She was the one who forced him to marry her, and now she wanted to force him to get a divorce? Who did she think he was?!’

"Lindsey Juhl! Didn't I tell you? You’ll never get to divorce me in this life!"

Zayn was so aggravated that he punched the wall by her ear. His fist was bleeding, but he did not seem to care.

Lindsey felt the wind from the punch, which made her ears feel warm. She was stunned and taken aback by Zayn's unexplained temper.

"Zayn Guggenheim! You don't love me and I no longer love you, so divorce is just a matter of time. Looking at your manic attitude, those who don't know our situation will think you actually have some affection for me!"

"Shut up!"

Hearing her say that she no longer loved him, Zayn’s heart tensed up, but the words that came out of his mouth were extremely hurtful.

"A woman like you is not even worthy enough to polish my shoes. You're just a bed-warmer!"

After he said that, Zayn bit Lindsey's collarbone.

Lindsey sucked in a breath of cold air as she felt the fiery pain in her neck, but she forced herself to hold back.

This was the first time she did not push him away!

"Yeah, I'm nothing more than a bed-warmer."

She closed her eyes and did not resist, like a lifeless doll.

Feeling her silence and numbness, Zayn stopped. When he saw her closed eyes and that lifeless face, somewhere in his heart twitched and he was instantly turned off.

"Just do your part. Even a corpse is more interesting than you!"

Zayn dropped these cruel words then stormed out of the room without glancing back at her.

Lindsey fell limp to the floor as if all of her strength was drained from her body.
