Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 20

Knowing that this client’s favorite was black coffee, Lindsey Juhl deliberately arranged for them to meet at this cafe.

"Hello, Mr. Fandel! I think it would be clearer to talk to you about the details of this project in person. Are you alright with my arrangement?"

In terms of closing deals, Lindsey had always been successful. Otherwise, she would not have been the top performer of the company.

"Oh, that...Ms. Juhl, my apologies. I received a phone call 10 minutes ago, so I may need to reconsider our collaboration."

Mr. Fandel said awkwardly and the words that came out made Lindsey dumbfounded.

"Is there something I've done that you're not satisfied with, or?"

"No, no, no. It's just that Ms. Lenig from Denarius Corporation has offered better terms. You know I’m a businessman, so I’ll choose the one that has a better deal. I’m really sorry!"

She had no grounds to blame him. Since Denarius intervened, it was no wonder he would back out last minute.

"So that's how it is! It's alright. I look forward to our next cooperation."

"Thanks for your understanding. Then I won't take up more of your time. This cup of coffee’s on me."

After Mr. Fandel left, Lindsey rubbed her temples as a sudden headache set in.

She had prepared for this project for a long time, but everything was up to fate.

The black coffee was inherently bitter, just like her current mood.

Just then, a flamboyant and graceful woman walked into the cafe. The purple skirt she wore with a delicate belt embellished around her waist accentuated her curves and made her look stunning.

"How does it feel to have nothing?"

As soon as Jenny Lenig appeared, she became the focus of everyone’s eyes!

"If you've come here to show off, then I think you've come to the wrong place."

It was obvious that Lindsey did not want to see Jenny at this moment.
