After all, the relief medication only alleviated some symptoms and did not cure Lindsey completely. Lindsey still felt like her body was burning up. The cold water bottles that she hugged earlier were no longer effective, so she chucked them aside and clung to Zayn again.
Zayn pushed her away, but she kept going to him repeatedly.
He laughed bitterly as he pinched Lindsey’s nose to pull her away, creating some distance between them. “Lindsey Juhl, are you the one suffering, or are you trying to torment me?”
Ian Emerson and his group had been arrested under suspected drug use and date rape. Zayn's people reported back quickly, but the news they brought back made Zayn frown.
Ian's original words were, "That drug has no antidote. Who the hell buys date-rape drugs with a f*cking antidote? Are you Jesus?"
After saying this, Soren punched him viciously right in front of the police.
Ian became a lot more honest after that punch and looked fearfully at Soren. "That drug is really nothing! It won't kill anyone. She should be fine after some sleep. Really!"
He initially did not want to admit that he intended to date-rape, but these words were like shooting himself in the foot.
Zayn looked at Lindsey and saw that the front part of her hair was already drenched in sweat. Her cheeks were flushed and her lips were incredibly luscious and seductive. They were challenging his last ounce of willpower.
"Let go of me." Her voice was incredibly soft.
"Who am I?"
Lindsey spat out two words, "Zayn Guggenheim."
Zayn did not hear her clearly, but he knew that she was calling his name. He suddenly wanted to tease her and said, "I can't hear you. Who am I?"
Lindsey raised her leg this time and kicked him in the chest. She gritted her teeth and said, "Zayn Guggenheim!"
In the end, Lindsey fell asleep with crystal droplets at the corners of her eyes.
After everything settled down, Zayn looked at Lindsey's sleeping face and planted a light kiss on her face.
Lindsey was not conscious earlier, so he did not bother using any contraceptives out of selfishness.
The thick curtains covered up the brightening sky outside the window, so Lindsey slept until the afternoon before she was awakened by her dream.
When she moved, the person sitting next to her immediately felt it and looked up from his laptop.
