"Where did this pretty little lady come from?" The man was impolite and directly draped his arm over Lindsey's shoulders as he tried to flirt with her.
Lindsey’s face instantly darkened. This touch made her very uncomfortable and she shook it off abruptly. "Look, you little tw*t. I’m old enough to be your aunt."
‘I’m older, so what little lady are you referring to?’
The man froze, then looked at Ian Emerson. Suddenly, he laughed and said, "Aunty, you sure don't look like it."
Lindsey felt that he was only laughing so hard because he had way too much alcohol that it muddled his brain.
She said frankly, "Also, don’t call me Aunty. I’m certainly not related to a useless person like you."
The smile on the man's face faded. Even Ian froze for a moment.
The atmosphere between them seemed to turn awkward. Allie was observing from the side and no one noticed that she was still clutching the phone in her bag.
There was a message on her phone that she had already typed out before they got here. She was just waiting for the right moment to send it.
"Ms. Juhl, I like your sass!" Ian laughed and said, "Cheers!"
"I don't drink."
Ian's face remained unchanged. "How can you come to a club and not drink? Who are you kidding, Ms. Juhl? Just one sip. Asher, get Ms. Juhl a glass of wine."
Asher was the man next to Lindsey.
As soon as Ian said that, Asher had already brought the glass to Lindsey's lips.
Lindsey was unprepared and quickly leaned backward. She was infuriated. "I said I don't drink!"
"Ms. Juhl, what are you talking about? You came out to have fun! Come, I'll feed you." Asher said as he held Lindsey's shoulder, trying to force wine into her mouth.
He was a lot stronger than her, so she could not push him away. The glass was already at her lips when she suddenly became enraged. “Get lost!”
The wine in Asher's hand was slapped away by Lindsey and the glass shattered on the ground.
The crisp sound immediately attracted everyone’s attention in the room. The games on the other side suddenly stopped and everyone looked their way.
"Ian, Asher, what happened?" Someone asked.
Ian was angered by Lindsey’s actions.
"Motherf*cker! Why can’t you just play along?" He roared in a low voice.
Lindsey no longer wanted to continue babbling with them and stood up to pull Allie, who had her head down looking like a timid baby bird. "Let's go."
Allie was pulled up by Lindsey, but from the corner of her eye, she watched Ian and Asher.
She saw that the two men glanced at each other with a mutual understanding and felt at ease.
Allie did not want them to do anything to actually harm Lindsey. She just wanted to use them to play a game.
The corners of Allie's lips quietly curled up.
Lindsey took a step forward with Allie in tow. Unfortunately, they were stopped by Asher.
Ian got up and stood in front of the two ladies. "Ms. Juhl, what kind of place do you think this is that you can just come and go as you wish?"
After saying that, he reached out and grabbed Allie's shoulder. His fingers went around to the front and lifted Allie's chin. "Why did you bring such a party pooper?"
Allie also looked a little annoyed. She brushed his hand away and said, "Don't make things difficult for her."
Lindsey saw that Asher was behind her and looking at their attitude, they probably would not let them get away so easily today. She frowned and thought that she should have just told Liam Wilford and let him handle it.
