Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 12

Apart from strangers coming and going, Zayn Guggenheim did not see anything.

He frowned, hid the irritation in his heart, and accompanied Jenny Lenig into the restaurant.

Zayn had to rush back to the mansion when he got a call from his grandfather. His upset face turned darker when he noticed Lindsey Juhl eating with the old man.

In the presence of the old man, Zayn finished his meal in silence and waited until the old man had eaten and gone to rest. Only then he dragged Lindsey up from her seat and went straight to the second floor.

He flung her hard against the wall when they stepped into the room. She felt the impact on her entire body, making her mind more aware. She looked up at the handsome, chiseled face in front of her. Zayn's face was expressionless as if the person she saw outside was a completely different person.

They were so close, yet she could not feel a hint of warmth from him.

"This is your tactic?"

Zayn snorted, revealing the mockery and disgust in his eyes.

"I didn't."

Lindsey's eyes were frank, but apart from these words, she did not have any other explanation.

She knew that to Zayn, whatever she said was worthless.

"Don't even think about scheming on who you shouldn’t."

Zayn uttered these words and left without looking back at her.

Lindsey lost her strength and almost fell to the ground. She could still smell the lingering cologne Zayn left behind.

She had to leave!

That night, Lindsey was restless and could not sleep a wink. She arrived at the office early in the morning and was called into a meeting by Lydia.

"Lindsey, it’s not that I want to put the fault on you. I know that you can’t be blamed for such a situation, but you have to think of a way to solve this. Otherwise, I really can’t protect you!"

Thinking of Lydia's words, Lindsey felt an incoming headache!

Lindsey could not stay in the Guggenheim mansion anymore and she had to find another place to live. If she was out of a job, it would be harder for her to survive in the outside world.

When Lindsey was deep in contemplation, Fenly, who had always been at odds with her, suddenly came over and threw a document in front of her.
