"Do you think Liam Wilford will let his fiancée and his younger sister return to the country just to take over the company?"
Quentin replied honestly, "No."
Zayn's eyes sank. ‘Who is this mysterious woman?’
A certain hope suddenly arose in his heart. It still broke out uncontrollably knowing that it was something completely impossible.
Quentin seemed to have thought of something and said, "President, we have a collaboration with Wilford Corporation. Their Product Department representative will be coming over today for a sample test."
Zayn’s fingers casually tapped on the table, then he slowly said, "Let’s take a look."
Allie Wilford was amused with everything she saw. When she arrived at the Denarius office, she looked around by herself while the Product Department Manager was dealing with their counterpart.
The office style in Denarius was very professional. No one came up to ask her what she was doing when they saw her, so Allie felt a little bored. She was about to go back when she suddenly heard a serious voice not far ahead from her, "Good day, President."
‘The President of Denarius?’
Allie's footsteps stopped. She had heard of the famous Denarius, a leading company in the industry. However, what made Denarius famous was their young and talented President.
She pursed her lips and thought, ‘Everyone must be exaggerating. I don’t believe he’d be better than Big Brother.’
In the next second, she was slapped in the face by her previous thoughts.
The man walking in front of her was wearing a well-tailored suit that made him look taller and more upright. Besides the watch on his wrist, he did not wear any other adornments, but he still had such a compelling aura that made others subconsciously subservient to him. The most attractive thing about him was his face.
His face was a little thin with a cold indifferent expression, which enhanced his striking features, especially those eyes. They looked like a cold lake in the winter. Although they emanated a distant iciness, there was a deadly temptation that made her subconsciously want to approach.
The man was surrounded by people as he walked towards Allie. There should have been some vibrance, but he was walking in front, suppressing everyone’s sense of existence. There was indescribable loneliness to him.
Allie felt like she was under some kind of spell and her heart rate unconsciously accelerated.
Quentin had already seen Allie standing in the distance and he subconsciously frowned. This little princess of the Wilfords was rumored to be spoiled. He thought, ‘She does look spoiled. She even dares to stare at the President like that.’
"President, that's Allie Wilford," Quentin whispered behind Zayn as a reminder.
Suddenly, Allie felt the oppressive feeling on the man's body approaching, so she snapped back to her senses. Then, she realized that she stared at the man for such a long time and felt very embarrassed.
Seeing that she was blushing and unable to speak, Zayn did not say anything else.
He went straight to the Product Department, but Quentin stopped his steps. "You must be Ms. Wilford. I'm Quentin, Mr. Guggenheim's personal assistant."
Allie had not yet recovered from the impact of Zayn's sudden approach earlier and it was the first time she was treated by a man with such a cold attitude as if he was mocking her.
She felt offended and thought, ‘This man is not a gentleman at all! What a waste of such a good-looking face…’
Allie did not have a nice attitude toward Quentin because of Zayn.
Quentin did not care whether her attitude was good or bad, but he only wanted to get some information from her. He added, "Ms. Wilford, did you return to the country alone?"
"No." Allie glared at him angrily and looked away.
Quentin quickly drew Allie's attention back to himself with a few words and began to inquire about their new Interim President. Even after beating around the bush, he still did not get anything out from her.
Allie was not a fool and looked at him with extra vigilance. She did not leak any important information.
