Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3438

Summer crossed one leg over the other, swirling her drink. She shrugged. "Rich fiancés are always out messing around. If I were her, I wouldn't want to talk about him either."

"That's why being a normal person is so much better," Trixie agreed. "We have the freedom to love whoever we want. Unlike Marina, who doesn't even get a say in her own marriage."

Summer let out a heavy sigh. "I can practically see her future married life. It's just tragic."

They spent a moment pitying their friend.

Marina returned, and they went right back to drinking and gossiping.

The three of them had been close since high school. Even though Marina had gone away for college, they always made sure to reconnect whenever she was back in town.

Summer suggested a game of Truth or Dare. The first round Trixie lost, and her dare was to get the phone number of a guy in a black jacket sitting at the next table.

Trixie, true to her sweet and bubbly nature, nervously shuffled over.

A few minutes later, she scurried back, her face flushed red but a triumphant gleam in her eye. She flashed her phone screen. "Got it!"

Summer smirked. "He didn't try to ask you out?"

"Shut up!" Trixie kicked Summer under the table. She already had a boyfriend, after all.

Marina lost the second round and opted for Truth.

Summer's eyes lit up with mischief. "When did you and Freddy first sleep together?"

The alcohol was starting to hit Marina, making her eyes a little hazy. She leaned back against the plush booth, raising an elegant eyebrow. "We... never slept together."

Summer and Trixie's jaws dropped.

"No way," Summer gasped. "You guys were together for so long! Was it him, or was it you?"

Just the thought of Freddy made Marina's stomach churn, the alcohol threatening to come back up. "You only get one question," she drawled lazily. "If you want to know more, you'll have to wait until I lose again."
