Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 2501

The sky over New York was just beginning to lighten when Jason’s phone buzzed with a message from an unknown number. He unlocked the screen and glanced at it—his dark eyes growing colder, sharper than the early spring dawn.

There were dozens of photos, all of them of Sophia Jones and Robin Ziegler.

Sophia stood at the front desk of her studio, arms full of fresh flowers, her smile radiant and carefree.

In another, Robin and Sophia were together outside an office building in the fading light of evening.

One shot captured Robin gently reaching out to touch Sophia’s cheek, his gaze soft, almost tender. Sophia’s head was bowed, dusk painting her lashes with the day’s last blush of gold, her expression tinged with melancholy.

The photos were stunning—light, people, and scenery blending perfectly. It was as if someone had pressed pause on a movie.

She’d promised Jason she wouldn’t see Robin.

But she went anyway.

A surge of anger burned in Jason’s chest, draining the color from his face. He called his assistant to book a flight back home, splashed cold water on his face, got dressed, and strode toward the door.

But just as his hand touched the knob, he stopped. The morning sunlight, pale and steely, glinted off his glasses, casting a faint gray shadow across his features.

He stood there for a long moment, unmoving. Then his phone rang—his assistant calling to say the ticket was booked.

Jason was silent, his face unreadable. Finally, he said, “Cancel it.”

The dust had settled. After a good night’s sleep, Sophia woke early, had breakfast at a café across the street, and drove to her studio.

There was a meeting that morning. During it, Hannah Carlin brought up the matter of Sophia’s assistant, promising to find her a new, reliable one as soon as possible.

After the meeting, Sophia returned to her office. Her phone rang. It was Yolanda.

There was an awkward pause. “Not Connor.”

Sophia took a moment to process that, then listened as Yolanda continued.

“She asked my boyfriend to pretend he was stalking her. I have no idea what her plan was, but I broke up with him soon after and never asked about it.”

A memory clicked into place for Sophia—how Diana had lured Robin to her place, claiming she was being harassed and needed his help.

So that’s what really happened.

Yolanda kept talking, “Diana and I have kept in touch. When she found out I was getting married to Connor, she insisted I contact you—said you were a talented jewelry designer and made beautiful wedding rings.”

“She’s the reason I found you in the first place.”

The more Sophia heard, the more unsettled she felt. So this entire time, Diana had been pulling the strings.
