Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 2446

As everyone settled down at the dinner table, Evelyn eagerly served Jason, her actions filled with attentiveness. "Jason, when I start working at your company, I'll need all the guidance I can get. I promise I'll follow your lead!"

Sophia blinked in surprise, her eyes darting between Evelyn and Jason.

With a smile, Evelyn turned to Sophia. "I know I don't have much in terms of education or experience, so I won't be making a mess in the studio. Jason's arranged for me to work at his company instead."

A wave of irritation surged through Sophia as she locked eyes with Jason.

Jason's gaze was unreadable, his expression stoic, offering no explanation.

Evelyn continued with a smile, "I'll work hard and make sure not to let Grandpa and Jason down."

"Let's focus on dinner for now," Jason suggested, his voice calm.

Sophia turned away to engage Old Mr. Quintin in conversation, pointedly ignoring both Evelyn and Jason.

Throughout the meal, only Sophia and Old Mr. Quintin's chatter filled the air, with occasional interjections from Evelyn. Jason remained silent.

After dinner, as Sophia and Old Mr. Quintin headed towards the living room, Jason finally spoke up, "Sophia, it's getting late. We should head back and let the master rest."

Without looking back, Sophia retorted, "You go ahead. I'm staying here tonight!"

Jason felt a surge of frustration, turning his head quickly, which prompted a cough.

Sophia gripped Old Mr. Quintin's arm tighter, resisting the urge to look back at Jason.

Fuming, Sophia lay on her bed, eventually falling asleep without realizing it.

Jason, passing by Sophia's room later, slowed his pace, debating whether to go in and explain. Just then, his phone rang. Glancing at the caller ID, his brow furrowed. He answered the call and continued to his room.

An hour later, Sophia woke up. It was 9:30 p.m.

Checking her phone, she found no messages or attempts from Jason to reach out.

Tossing her phone aside, she puffed her cheeks in frustration.

If he was going to be stubborn, then she'd have nothing to do with him!
