Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 1929

The blue serum would trap a person in his sorrowful memories. And what, Raiden wondered, were such sorrowful remembrances made of?

His curiosity was piqued.

"You should've taken her out immediately!"

A chilly voice echoed from behind him.

Raiden's face remained stoic as he said firmly, "The one who's eager to kill her is probably you!"

The man stepped forward, eyeing the woman on the screen with a sneer, "Yes, I'd love to tear her to pieces."

If it weren't for this woman, he wouldn't be living a life on the run.

His gaze shifted to Raiden, "She's the one who killed Wolverine. Don't you want revenge for Wolverine?"

Raiden replied coldly, "Wolverine's demise was a matter of time; it's the natural order of things. She just hastened it. Why should I kill her?"

The man frowned, "What do you plan to do with her? I'll remind you, she's got remarkable resilience and explosive strength, but she's not easy to control. Don't fantasize about making her your own."

"It's my business what I do with her!" Raiden shot the man a frosty look, "Remember your place!"

The man's face turned pale, and he nodded with a sneer, "Fine, I just hope you don't get bitten back."

Raiden turned off the screen and walked away.

That night.

Evelyn, with a drink in hand, wandered through the bar looking anxiously for Lynn.

Suddenly, she spotted a familiar figure and, with a surge of joy, hurried over.

"Lynn!" Evelyn called out.

Lynn turned, his brow furrowed with annoyance, and stood up to leave.

"Calm down, it was me who asked Evelyn to bring you. Let's have a seat and talk," Lambert offered, lighting a cigar and fixing his gaze on Lynn.

Evelyn closed the door and took a seat beside them.

Lynn, still suspicious, settled onto the couch and asked, "What's going on?"

"You're a pharmacist, right?" Lambert asked.

Lynn glanced at Evelyn before nodding, "Yes."

"There's a new woman at your lab. Are you aware of that?" Lambert's deep brown eyes were dark and intense, locking onto Lynn.

Lynn's eyes flickered. "That information is confidential. I can't disclose it."

Lambert chuckled darkly, drawing a gun and cocking it at Lynn's head, "Dead men tell no tales. Otherwise, let's test your loyalty before Raiden gets his chance."
