Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 1865

"Absolutely, absolutely!" The speaker nodded in eager agreement, "These young folks have their own way of thinking, and we shouldn't be stuck in our old-fashioned ways. Let's just go with the flow!"

Mrs. James chuckled softly, her eyes crinkling at the corners as she gently dabbed at the corner of Kya's mouth with a napkin, removing a smidge of frosting.

Catherine chimed in, "You know, our Jonathan hasn't had his wedding yet. When the time comes, maybe our families could pick a date together and make it a grand affair. After all, Jonathan and Charlie are thick as thieves."

Mrs. James's gaze flickered thoughtfully before she looked up. "Sure, let the boys decide when they're ready!"

Catherine smiled warmly, her heart fluttering at the thought. If the two families joined forces for the wedding, things might move along quicker. She couldn't wait for the day Estelle would call her 'Mom'.

After the banquet, cars were ready outside to escort Old Mr. Jarvis and Old Mr. Quintin away.

Estelle, Jonathan, and Magdalen were among those to escort the two venerable guests out.

Those who wished to catch a glimpse of Old Mr. Jarvis had not yet had the chance, and now they lingered outside the hotel, hoping to see the legendary figure.

The Macclains were among the crowd, peering eagerly through the throng.

Elizabeth stood beside Terrence, her eyes wide with amazement. "Old Mr. Jarvis sure knows how to make an entrance!"

Terrence's voice was low and serious. "He's a man with clout that even folks from B City tip their hats to, so what do you think?"

"You went to meet Old Mr. Jarvis as well, didn't you?" Elizabeth inquired.

Terrence shook his head. "No luck."

"Well, there's no need for us to chase after him with our tails wagging. Old Mr. Jarvis is based in C City, and we're in J City; our paths rarely cross," Elizabeth huffed.

Frowning, Terrence said, "You don't understand. Our deal in B City got shelved because of Estelle's connection to the Crawleys. If Old Mr. Jarvis were to put in a word, just one word, it might breathe new life into the project."

Not wanting to interfere with Terrence's important affairs, Elizabeth quickly agreed, "Understood!"

As Terrence was about to add something else, a commotion at the entrance caught his attention. Old Mr. Jarvis and Old Mr. Quintin were emerging, surrounded by a crowd.

Terrence stepped forward, with his gaze locking onto something, and he asked Elizabeth, "Isn't that Estelle?"

Standing among those who escorted Old Mr. Jarvis, Estelle was by Jonathan's side and close to Old Mr. Jarvis, and they were seemingly chatting and laughing about something. As the crowd was too dense, and Old Mr. Jarvis were surrounded by a dozen guys, Estelle's words were lost in the bustle.

Elizabeth was also taken aback, speculating, "Estelle is Old Mr. Quintin's apprentice; she might have met Old Mr. Jarvis through him."

Nearby, Natalia caught sight of the scene and tilted her head towards Simone, "Looks like Estelle's hitched her wagon to another star with the Jarvis family. Seems like we'll have to cozy up to her a bit from now on."

Simone, detecting the sarcasm in Natalia's voice, let out a scornful laugh. "She'd have to be someone they'd look up to first!"
