Chapter 1757
Noreen replied, “J City!"
Gina exclaimed in surprise, ‘You're home, in J City? It's been a long time."
"Do you have a moment? I need to talk to you."
“What's going on?"
"It's important!"
“Alright.
Noreen uttered, "I'll text you the address. Get an Uber and come over as soon as you can!"
"Okay!" Gina hung up and promptly received a text from Noreen.
Later that evening, after Elliott and Bonnie went out on a date, Gina left her groceries and rushed out of the house.
Noreen had chosen a secluded, inconspicuous little coffee shop. As Gina entered, Noreen removed her scarf and face mask, “Gina, it's been a while!"
“Noreen, where have you been all these years? Why haven't you come home?" Gina asked with concern.
With a glance, Noreen scoffed, "Because of your daughter"
She seemed impatient, "Forget the past, I have something to ask you. Is Emily married? How does she have a kid? Whose kid is it?"
With a series of questions bombarded at her, Gina explained that Emily's child was conceived abroad, and she didn't know who the father was either.
"Abroad?" Noreen squinted. Had she misinterpreted?
“Do you need something from Emily?” Gina asked curiously, recalling that Noreen had asked Elliott about Emily and her address a fortnight ago.
Noreen nodded, “Emily owes me money and hasn't paid me back. You have to pay me for her."
She had been banished from J City by Charlie, and wasn't allowed to return. Now she stealthily came back but couldn't openly show up at J City. It was difficult to get things done.
An idea suddenly popped into her head, “Can you bring Emily's kid to me?"
With the child, she didn't believe Emily would dare not repay!
Gina got startled, "I can’t. Wouldn't that be kidnapping?"
“How could that be kidnapping?" Noreen frowned, “I just want my own money back. That's not extortion. It has nothing to do with kidnapping!"
Gina hesitated.
“Well, the initial 50 grand was spent by your family. If Emily doesn't repay this money, I'll go find Elliott. I know where he works!” Noreen crossed her arms and leaned back in her chair, a determined look on her face.
"Don't go to Elliott!" Gina became anxious when she heard her son was mentioned, "I can bring Kya to you, but you can't hurt her!"
"I told you this isn't kidnapping. If I hurt her, I'd be the one going to jail. I'm not that stupid. I just want my 10 grand!” Noreen huffed.
