Chapter 60
Violet’s POV
I could see doubt, uncertainty, and also fear in my brother’s
eyes.
He was afraid–afraid that he wasn’t good enough, that he
couldn’t live up to the expectations being placed on him.
But Julia was right. My elder brother had done an amazing job
protecting all of us. I was proud of him. And he was best person
to lead this pack.
I gave him a small nod and mouthed, “You can do this.”
He must have seen that. A smile spread across his lips. He took a
deep breath, his shoulders straightening as he turned back to
face Asher.
“It will be my honor, your majesty.”
The ceremony followed right after because we really needed a

I watched Jayden as he came to stand at the center, his head

held high, his eyes bright with determination. He looked every bit the leader he was meant to be, and I couldn’t help but feel an
overwhelming sense of pride for him.
But as the ceremony drew to a close, I realized something that I
had been ignoring on purpose: my brothers were staying here,
and I was going to the royal pack with Asher. I hadn’t spent
enough time with them yet and now we were parting ways
again.
Jayden seemed to sense my thoughts. After the ceremony, he
found me in the crowd, and so did my twin brothers.
“Hey.” he reached out, his hand resting on my shoulder. “It’s
going to be alright, Vi.”
I nodded, swallowing the lump in my throat. “I know. I’m just…
I’m going to miss you all. It’s not going to be the same.”
“We’ll be fine, sis. Don’t worry about us,” Philip patted my back.
“You’ve got your own journey to focus on now. I heard the
royal packhouse is twice larger and very extravagantly
furnished. Something to look forward to?”
I forced out a smile but couldn’t shake the feeling of unease that
had settled deep inside me. I looked between my brothers and

lowered my voice:
“It’s not just about missing you…It’s Isaac. He wanted the Alpha‘
s seat and we didn’t give it to him. He’s not going to let this go
without a fight. I’m afraid he’ll try and hurt us again, like what
he did to Asher’s parents.”
My brothers‘ expression darkened. Jayden gave me a
reassuring nod. “I understand your worries, Violet. But you’ll be
safe by Asher’s side. And I’m going to be right here keeping a
good eye on this pack. Nothing is going to happen to us.”
I tried to take comfort in his words, but the unease didn’t fully
go away. There was so much uncertainty, so many unknowns.
And beyond all of that, there was still the mystery of our
mother–our real mother.
It was a topic we had all avoided for so long, a truth none of us
had been ready to face.
“What about… her?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper,
my gaze dropping to the ground.
I didn’t name names, but they all knew whom I was referring
“Do we really want to go down that road? To look for her? It
feels like it will just bring more trouble, more questions we don‘
t have answers to.”
“We had to,” Jayden shook his head, his eyes serious. “This
mystery is not going away, Violet. It’s going to keep haunting us
until we face it.”
“Running away is not the solution. I’m with Jayden on this one.”
Philip said, and Michael nodded.
“And it’s not just about us,” Jayden added. “You know, Philip
and I… we don’t have children yet. And I’ve been thinking
lately. Maybe it’s just a coincidence…but what if it’s not? I had a
feeling that this might have something to do with our mother.
Maybe she is the only one who knows about the reason.”
My heart sunk. Right, the infertility issue. We had to solve that.
It wasn’t fair for me to keep avoiding this, not when it affected
my brothers too.
I took a deep breath, nodding slowly, “Alright. Then I’m with
you. Find out whatever you need to.”
The three of us reached a common ground. Philip was nodding
along, though his expression darkened, his eyes flashing with

anger.
“I agree with everything you said. But I’m not going to forgive
her.” he huffed, “After everything–after what our parents did,
what Kylie did–I don’t want to deal with another crazy
woman. If you ever find that woman, just tell her I’m dead!
