Fated to My Twin Sister's Alpha (Violet and Asher) novel Chapter 52

Chapter 52

Violet’s POV

I took a deep breath as I watched Mia play quietly by the

window.

Asher was a good father. He always tried to make time for Mia,

playing dolls together or even attending the little girl’s tea

party. But it had been a while since Mia last saw him, and I didn

t know how to explain everything to my daughter.

The absence of Asher had left a cold emptiness in the house.

The longer he stayed away, the more I felt a gnawing anxiety

creep in, eating away at my peace of mind.

I tried to focus on being strong for Mia, but it wasn’t easy. I had

been telling her that her father needed to leave for a little while

to take care of important things, but every day that passed

without any word from Asher, I felt myself becoming more

unsettled.

I could sense her confusion too. Mia, with her wide, innocent

eyes, had been asking more questions than usual. She didn’t

understand why her father wasn’t around, why things felt so

different. he even asked

daddy Patrickif Asher was gone forever.

I told her no. Asher would be back soon. I didn’t know how to

make her understand the circumstanceshow could I explain it

when I didn’t even understand myself?

And first I was simply worried. But then the feeling gradually

developed into something strongeranger. The frustration that

simmered just below the surface, threatening to burst through.

I didn’t want to admit it, but I was fucking mad at Asher.

How could he leave me like this? He hadn’t even contacted me

to let me know he was okay.

Was he avoiding me?

Was something wrong?

Did he know how hard it was for me to pretend everything was

OK in front of all the members and the royal council? Honestly,

I didn’t know how much longer I could keep doing this.

My thoughts were interrupted by a series of hurried footsteps.

Jayden came running into my office, his face pale.

Chapter 52

Violet,he said, breathless. Isaac is here.

I stood up immediately, my heart racing.

I already knew Isaac would come. He had made it he wanted

this pack. He wanted to be Alpha. I knew this day would come

sooner or later. But I had always hoped that Asher would be

back when he came here and I wouldn’t have to deal with this

alone.

But Asher was still missing. And I was alone in this.

I glanced at Mia, who was still lost in her play, knowing nothing

about the storm brewing outside the door. Good, I want to keep

her that way.

Mia.I said softly, kneeling beside her. I’m going to have to

step out for a little while. You stay here, okay? I’ll be back soon.”

She nodded, Is Daddy Asher back?

No, no yet sweetheart. But I will let you know as soon as he

comes back.

I gave her a quick kiss on the forehead before heading out to

face Isaac.

Chapter 52

Members had heard about Isaac’s arrival. They gave me those

sympathetic glances as I traveled down the hallway, as if I was

a pathetic widow forced to deal with the mess that her late

husband left behind.

I felt a familiar pang of anger. Asher was supposed to be here.

This was his time, his moment. And yet he was nowhere to be

found. The lack of control, the uncertaintyit took a toll on me.

I slowed my pace on purpose, taking my time. I knew Isaac was

waiting but so what? I had to do this on my terms, not his. That

bastard was pushing. But today, I wasn’t giving him the

satisfaction of an easy victory.

When I finally made my way to the entrance, Isaac was already

pacing back and forth, his arms crossed, jaw clenched, eyes

flared with impatience.

You’re late,he snapped as soon as I came in, his voice biting.

I know. But you didn’t let me know that you were coming, and

I am a very busy person.

I walked pass him and went to sit in the Alpha’s throne. That

was normally Asher’s seat. But now with the Alpha’s absence, I

became the only person who had the right to sit in it.

Isaac narrowed his eyes dangerously at me,

my seat.

Oh yeah? But I don’t think so,I replied with a mocking smile. Last time I check, the Alpha of this pack is still Asher.

Then let’s go ahead with the transfer of power. It’s why I am

here.

Yes, I know,I replied, keeping my voice level. But you’ll have to wait till our new Alpha King comes back.

Isaac’s eyes flashed with surprise, There’s a new Alpha King? How come I didn’t know about it?

His surprise pleased me. I leaned forward and stared at him. I didn’t want to miss the expression on his face when I gave him

the following news:

The Royal Council had decided to name Asher as the next Alpha King. All Alphas have agreed to it already.

His expression was priceless.

His face first went blank, as though he couldn’t believe what I

just said. Then anger crept in. He widened his eyes, nostrils

flaring, face going red.

Chapter 52

What theARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!!! Asher? The

man who killed the last King? Gets to be the new King?his

furious roar echoed in the room.

We all acknowledged his power and strength.

The fuck you did! He’s nothing but a murderer! A traitor! An

assassin!! He should be thrown into prison and sentenced to

death!

I let out a mocking laugh, Why are you so surprised? A few

days ago you were still bragging to me about how you planned
